BKGaming: Are you on 1.2.26? I was getting this a lot on that version but it appears to be fixed on 1.2.27 Beta.
I am getting that constantly. But, if it is known issue and fixed in beta, hopefully whatever the fix is, will make it to live and that annoying popup will stop. Otherwise seem to be working just fine.
I have a question regarding cloud saves - I'd want to start using it, but from what I can see, if I delete a save file (via the game itself), it's NOT deleted from the cloud (i.e. when I download the zipped saves via the backup and bonuses screen I can see it still contains the deleted saves).

Now, is this intended behavior? How can I really delete a save file if that's the case?

Thanks.

Edit: It looks like the problem is only with the zipped package of saves, because if I delete saves from my game folder and then launch the game, it only downloads those saves that I didn't delete before. Still, when I download the ZIP file with saves, it contains the deleted ones, too.

Hey everyone,

we just released GOG Galaxy 1.2.29. This release brings the features from the BETA release to all users, plus some additional changes - including a new animation on desktop notifications, some fixes for the images in the sidebar, an overlay-caused hang on game exit on some platforms, and a few other things.

The changelog in the client app should update in a few minutes (or, at worst, hours), due to small technical difficulties around that :)

Files are fully deleted on the backend after a 24 hour period.

Many games are not coming to Linux on GOG due to this but GOG don't really care/care enough.
I wonder howcome 15k+ votes on this thread https://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/release_the_gog_galaxy_client_for_linux
does not make any effect on GOG management?
Is there any word on Galaxy failing to update? wHEN i LAUNCH gALAXY IT COMES UP WITH A FAILED TO UPDATE MESSAGE. I am at version 1.2.26. I tried downloading galaxy to see if it would instal the newer version however it said I have the most current version. I believe the newest version is 1.2.29 as per blue post.
Will there be a fix or should I completely uninstal galaxy and try for a reinstal?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for this, I just tested this by shutting down GG, and re-starting it offline, and YES, it works magnificently! Thanks gog!
My Galaxy client is continuously failing to update for a day or two now. A post from today says 1.2.29 has been released, but my client is at 1.2.26 and will not update (failed to update prompt as I said), and the client download page still only has the 1.2.26.8 client so I can't install that either (since my installed version is the same or newer.

Any word on a fix or when the newest version will be available on the download page?

I have the exact same problem on my Windows 7 64-bit PC.

Same here, can't update, and when I go to the site and download the installer, the installer says I have the newest version.

While I was able to update right when the patch released, I have now also started to get update failed messages again even on 1.2.29. It's possible the update service is down right now.

GOG hasn't updated the download page yet, but I believe you can find the newest version here:
