2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

Johny.: Please send us the logs to mantis, otherwise we can't help - "client crashes after about 7 seconds" can be really anything.

Please provide logs folder and info on how exactly the client crash - is there any error etc.

BKGaming: The question is though, is anyone actually looking at these reports on a daily/weekly basis? No offense but you guys post a lot suggesting we report on mantis, but the reports largely just sit there...
Still logs are the only way to find cause of such bugs. There are common issues which you can find on support pages of course. We're fixing bugs every week - not necessarily from mantis - and part of the team regularly goes through issues there. It's not that easy to maintain, as you have noticed. :)
I am getting tired of missing icons the game library everytime i launch Galaxy. This started a few months ago and this irritating bug never went away. GOG support wasn't helpful either.
I am writing this post because I am having issues with the Galaxy client. Every time I go to launch Baulders Gate 2 Enhanced Edition or any other game from the client I can't. In the case of the Baulders Gate 2, the client won't start the game and the cloud saving won't stop or even work is there anything I can do short of uninstalling the client completely? I am running Windows 10.

Yeah, we haven't heard a thing about them fixing this glitch since it appeared. :/
Windows 7 64bit
Almost finished Witcher3 GotY but still want to know what cause the save uploads (to the clouds) to fail. My save folder is ~1.5 GB big, evertime I close the game it start uploading save to the cloud and stop at 50-75% progress bar then it say "failed to upload".
Is there some sort of timer that stop upload? Don't thing that's connection issue...

There's a quota limit per game you can upload to the cloud storage. Try reducing your folder size.
Hey,
we have released Galaxy 1.2.13 to Beta Channel.

It contains a MacOS version of in-game Overlay, this feature currently has been activated for most of our games and if you encounter any troubles with it, feel free to report it on mantis.gog.com.

It also contains an update for Windows In-game Overlay, allowing to show FPS counter despite of showing the rest of Overlay.

Also we have improved our download mechanisms to reduce download size :)

As again, it's only available, if you have Beta updates enable.
Enjoy!

Did that and no error appeared.
Do you know what's the size quota? Just to know for the future...

I believe it's 1 GB.

The key combination to open it could have been better. I find the default combination hard on my hand. Hopefully you add a way to change this soon. Good update though.

TheTomasz: Hey...
I guess you are already aware, but if not here is the precedent: according to developers, Tooth and Tail isn't coming out on GOG for Linux because of missing Galaxy libraries. So what exactly are you doing to prevent such scenarios?
Post edited July 19, 2017 by shmerl
GOG Galaxy for Linux is not yet available. We currently don't have a solid ETA for Linux support. Libraries themselves won't solve the issue until the whole suite of apps is available.

"There was a problem updating the application. You can always download the latest version from...." (blah blah blah)

Is this a known issue, or have I discovered a hidden feature of Galaxy v.1.2.12?
(No, reinstalling has not fixed the problem.)

See the linked thread. Libraries can solve part of the issue. I.e. some developers can simply not release on GOG, because their code won't compile on Linux (missing libs). You can provide them some middle ground. I.e. SDK libs that let the code compile, but don't actually provide functionality (i.e. return errors for example). Developers can handle errors gracefully, and when you'll provide updated libs, their code will start "just working" without need to rewrite it. The benefit of all this - it will reduce the barrier of releasing Linux versions on GOG, introduced by Galaxy itself. I hope you get the idea.

Doing something like this you'll help both developers, and users who are now increasingly start to miss Linux versions on GOG. Not doing it, shows that even Linux releases here are very low priority for GOG.

The present is not the future. Just, you know, a reminder… :-)

We're talking directly to developers, and we're aware of all the issues including their technical details. What you proposed would not solve any of them.
