Is there a way to tell Galaxy what exe it needs to be targeting?

For Age of Wonders it keeps targeting the wrong exe and there does not appear to be an option to tell it to stop doing that.

In the game folder, there should be a manifest file for Galaxy, you can edit the path there.

If you think it's wrong for everybody, please report it to support. :)

I don't know if it sad or just cringe worthy when you look up recent GOG videos on YouTube and you see people running version 1.2.44 and half their icons are missing. This is what possible non GOG users are seeing from Galaxy when watching these videos.

They say you only get one first impression, and I'm not sure this is the one GOG wants... I hope when these cache changes are made, this issue is fixed once and for all.

The current version of Galaxy hits my GPU at 30-50% while downloading a game on thel library screen. This turns on my laptop fan and burns power for no good reason. Please fix
why my password manager Dashlane not supported?

And how!

Yeah, it's an irritant as far as I'm concerned, but nowhere near as being a deal breaker, as steam's entire icon library disables once you're disconnected from the internet, and at least you can restore most of the icons offline with galaxy!... **I noticed that the issues with the icons not showing up due to de-linking to the store have been resolved, they just need a caching system that allows for offline web content like most browsers!

But yeah, in spite of it all, new users need to give galaxy a chance!

**(My mistake, it hasn't...)

True but I doubt most people use Galaxy or Steam offline. For the grid icons you can also add a custom one which I believe works offline.

Heh, I'm one of those folks that do as I have been disconnected and.or without service for long stretches of time, What do you mean about custom grid icons for steam? How do you make custom icons?

There are websites that offer images already made and at the right size. You could also use something like https://www.gogdb.org to get logo images and then you can resize them if the game is on GOG too.

Thanks a lot for these links I'm sure they'll more than prove to be a valuable asset to my library!
i uninstalled it , for my computer is just a BLOATWARE
So now it seems like downloading with GOG Galaxy is the only option for downloading my games? Is there any way to get it to download the installer like before rather than installing it directly? I like backing up my installers locally so that I have them if the internet has gone out or I'm otherwise somewhere without connectivity.

Wrong.

On the game card in the library (see attachment).

Hello,

I've been using galaxy for a while now and like it for the convenience of installing and updating games.
However, I don't like to have it open while playing. Pressing the shortcut for some games now launches galaxy first and then launches the game afterwards.
I googled for a solution and apparently installing recently updated games now causes the shortcuts created by galaxy to launch galaxy first.

I know there's the easy workaround of simply making shortcuts to the exes in the folders manually, but I'd still like to ask if gog could give an option when installing games to not make the shortcuts open galaxy, or some option in the settings menu which would change existing shortcuts to run without galaxy. I'm aware it's not a huge issue but I found it more convenient before. Thanks for reading.
