Mr.Mumbles: Err, dude, you're totally wrong. In fact, looks like GOG's servers went tits-up. I've been trying to downloading via Galaxy and via web browser just now, and nothing wants to download.
Fix your shit, GOG! I want my Transport Fever 2 fix, damn you!
*fondles his 5TB USB hard drive containing all his 1785 GOG game installers*
My Precious... *GOLUM!* *GOLUM!*
I knew there is a good reason to download all my games, for situations like this. :)
(well ok, I admit, I haven't downloaded the Linux versions yet even though I've thought about it, but then quite often the Linux version apparently is just the Windows version + Wine, so they are of less importance to me even though I am ramping up my gaming (also) on Linux).
andreasaspenberg2: support could not help me install carmageddon through the offline installer. the problem is that the installer is incomplete, it does not contain all of the files. it is around 200 megabytes while the game takes 500.
I just tried it and Carmageddon installs and plays just fine, using the offline installer.
The reason the installer is smaller than the actual game installation is naturally because the files are compressed in the installer. They get uncompressed during the installation, hence the installation is 569MB.
