Everytime I start Gog Galaxy I need to wait atleast between 15- 20 minutes until it starts.

Taskmanager: Gog Update App is always open but is doing almost nothing

All other game services I use work fine, I use Bitdefender Anti Virus.

Thats really annoying, tried to reinstall, didnt work.

Does anyone know how to fix that?

Don't use it. You don't need it.

Yes I know, but sometimes I want to play Gwent, so I have to use Galaxy to update it

Still happening a year later. Launching can take anywhere from 20 seconds, to 60. The supposed fix is to launch without updating, so it launches quickly. How is that a fix?

I'm essentially running on a RAMdrive (a 40GB L1 drive cache), with 64GB of 3000mhz RAM, on a 4.8ghz i7-6700k. My internet pipe is a 300mbit line. There's no reason this game launcher should take any more than ~3-4 seconds to start (Steam launches in about 6, or 12 when it actually updates).

There are recent discussions about it *still* happening, though I am denied the ability to post a Reddit link (figures). Go check on r/gog

Any chance there's been attention paid to this, or we can get official recognition of it? It's super annoying to know I can launch, go get a drink, come back.. and it's just opened.

Um, this still happens to me. Gog galaxy takes around a minute to launch.

The Program is still in "Beta" so maybe optimization will come eventually. It is a pain I'll admit on the "lag" and input issues. However the consolidation of all platforms makes it my go to for launching ( minus spiderman remastered, for some reason the xiinput isn't recognized when it is launched from Galaxy )
