How can I "import" games to my GOG Galaxy library, which I already have installed? I've tried the "Scan and import folders", but that one says "Did not find any games to import".
This question / problem has been solved by mike_cesaraimage
"Scan & Import" only works for already Galaxy compatible games.

For games installed from older non-Galaxy installer files: Library -> Game Page -> More -> Manage -> Import Folder

DennisLaursen89: == IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the "+" button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.
Please be aware that Client will accept any folder pointed to and will overwrite files inside it (this can for example wipe some mods or damage other apps in case of pointing to a wrong folder) and will update the game to the newest version (current default language English).
I have installed Witcher Wild Hunt and I was in GOG Galaxy offline. I have GOG Galaxy 1.1.5 (beta). I can normally play the game. Nevertheless I dont have the game in my library and I cant import it to the library. I purchased The hearts of stone and because of this I cant play it. If i have tried to paste the code from Hearts of stone it tells me that I need to have the base game but I have it.

I have tried 1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)

Please help. I dont want to uninstall the game and play it from the beginning just because of this problem. I dont understand why is this basic thing just too complicated. Thank for any help.

So Witcher 3 is not in your library if I understand you correctly? Where did you buy it?

Yes Witcher 3 is not in my library. Thats basically the main problem. I bough it in JRC game store in Prague. Because I dont have Witcher 3 in my library I cant use this solution Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

Thanks for help in advance.

So it was a physical copy. There should have been a little piece of paper in the box with a code that you can redeem here on gog, so that the game gets added to your library.

Thats my only game I play via GOG so I didint know. Than you very much for your help. :)
That was an odd feat of thread necromancy, but I'm glad you got your problem solved ;-)
