I just thought about using GOG galaxy client to play some old school games again, but sadly the GOG Galaxy client won't open anymore, it just stays hidden in the task manager. I have tried reinstalling with admin rights and tried installing onto a different drive.

I'm running latest windows 10 update

Why do you need the client to play old (or any) games? Download the files from website. Run installer. Play.

Probably a good idea to check with support about galaxy in case you do want any of the features though.
