== BUG REPORTING ==

Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Hey I am a new gog member and just found out about it. First, I love the galaxy client and game library especially, it's gorgeous and I want it to stay this way. One big issue I have though is that if I am offline or have no internet connection, I can't see my games in the library section. On Steam I can however, please fix this issue as soon as possible. I really would like to see my game library even with no internet connection.
I made a little tool to make my earlier registry hack easier.

http://paste.ubuntu.com/22783507/

Just copy the contents in to whatyouwant.bat and double click.

Currently it lets you either increase download speed by increasing the number of download threads, or limit speed, although Galaxy doesn't seem to respect the speed limit flag currently.
Hello GOG Team,

i run a 2 Monitor setup. It look like the Gog Galaxy wont stay on the 2nd Monitor. Whenever i start the Launcher, it always open on the first Monitor. Would be nice if this get fixed.
The Test comes Friday. Will Galaxy install No man's Sky and patch it? Have I set things up correctly? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? We will find out Friday!

Yeah, it doesn't remember the window dimensions nor maximization state either despite GOG claiming that it does. I've had to resort to hacks to try to force it to maximize, although even my hack only works about 50% of the time in practice. It seems like they're not bombarded by bug reports about it though so I get the impression that they think I'm the only one with the problem.

That brings up another important observation of mine... When GOG released Galaxy publicly, there was apparently a massive influx of people installing Galaxy beta in order to download and install The Witcher 3. From the news reports of that plus all the time that has transpired since then it would seem that there are several million people out there now "beta testing" GOG Galaxy, however the Galaxy beta forum here only has a very very very incredibly small number of people actually posting any feedback whatsoever, maybe a small number of posts per day at best, and Mantis seems to get not much more in terms of bug reports.

I conclude that most people out there see "beta test" as meaning "early version I can use now and just uninstall if it doesn't work" without giving any feedback. :)

Well one thing is for sure, Galaxy is more stable today then it was when the Witcher 3 released. Baring any server issues from the demand of downloading the game, I think it will go rather smooth.

For me, it works fine. Nothing to say or do, besides lurking with this thread.

Personally I still use the website in general, such as for searching or community. That's mostly because I have personal CSS file I use with the gog.com website when viewing with Safari. It's also partly because the search doesn't get reset in the web browser when going back to it, but in Galaxy search does reset. No biggie, works fine in web browser where I get to have my personal CSS, too. I just use Galaxy for installation management, game manuals, extra downloads, and such. Very nice for that.

I'm having the same problem.
After about 84hrs of playing Witcher 3 my connection broke for a short moment (not Galaxys fault ;)). Since then Galaxy does not count the game time anymore (still stays at 84hrs 21 minutes). Anything I can do to fix this on my end?

When that happens to me for other games, I quit the game and restart Galaxy. I've noticed the time for the game got updated immediately before starting the game again. That is, the time wasn't lost.

Help needed.

My Galaxy client fails to update, using both self-updating and the downloadable installer, and fails to connect to GOG.com

So far I tried:
1) Restarting Galaxy
2) Restarting PC
3) Removing and then reinstalling Galaxy

No changes, after reinstall from the inbstaller downloaded from official site, the client appears to be stuck in the same unoperational state.

Try uninstalling Galaxy and then manually deleting all of the files it leaves behind under C:\ProgramData and the folder it was previously installed to. Be careful you do not delete your games or savegames if they are installed underneath the same directory hierarchy.

I'm on the same boat. I tried even manually to delete (like skeletonbow wrote) all files after uninstall and still it won't update after fresh install.

When nothing else helps, try disabling your anti virus software. Sometimes some of those programs love to interfer with Galaxy.

As hohiro mentioned, I'd recommend either reconfiguring your antivirus and/or firewall software to permit Galaxy's processes through or disabling them to test. If all else fails, contact GOG support as they deal with these type of issues all the time.
