Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

"Remember password" checkbox, please!

(If it is possible already, please make it more visible :) )

Actually Galaxy saves your login information by default Few questions that could help us pinpoint the issue:
1. What OS and version are you on and what's your Client version exactly?
2. Do you also have to login to gog.com website every time or is the issue Galaxy specific?
3. Are you using Client on an account with admin privileges?
Hello ! I'm using Windows XP on my PC because I want to play older games that only work on Xp , Unfortunately GOG Galaxy only works on Windows 7 and up ... too bad ! It's really incredible , ironically I could say , that this comes from GOG , a company that support old and very old games , but their application that you use to download this old games dosen't suport Windows XP :( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VC
Works perfectly fine for me. Make sure you have SP3 installed as well as VC++ 2012 Redistributables.
Version 1.1.5
Win7 x64 SP1
Run as admin.

When I try to update to 1.11 or Verify\Repair I get this message;

The game starts fine.

Are you by any chance on beta overlay channel (check MORE -> CONFIGURE)? If so, make sure you switch back to channel called default. Also, make sure you can see The Witcher 3 in your LIBRARY section in the Client when logged in to verify that there is TW3 on this specific account you are logged in.

If that's not it, then please
1. exit the Client and remove contents of C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
2. start the Client and replicate the issue
3. upload the freshly created logs to mantis.gog.com (see sticky post on top) so that we can look into it
I am quite disappointed with the client so far. It repeatedly freezes, leaving multiple instances of "ClientHelper" process open I must end manually via task manager, sometimes the processes refuse to be terminated at all.
Could you kindly please implement e-mail verification? Things are getting out of hands, don't you think?
And for GOG sake, paygate for voting ability..
Or is this some kind of test, how long it takes until last user gets frustrated? ; )
Hi all. A friend put me on to gog.com through her blog where she reviews games, and I came, saw the sale, and conquered it. By snagging The Witcher 1 & 2 for ~$5. Very happy. Hadn't played any games in the series before and The Witcher 3 gets excellent reviews both from reputable reviewers and my friends, so I'm really happy to have the opportunity to start from the beginning with this series. I also seem to have caught this GOG Galaxy business somewhat during it's early days. I'm installing my first purchase through it now and it seems to be doing things well. Quite happy with this whole thing.

There's no irony in older OS' being incapable of allowing the functions required by the client. This is more unfortunate if anything.
I'm trying to install the D&D goldbox games through Galaxy, but they keep failing. Is this a known issue, something I should log, or something wrong on my side?

EDIT: Seems it wasn't running as administrator, that's all. Installing fine now.

Hello all,

Just to inform Galaxy users that update their games with the offline patchers, and want to stop Galaxy form saying that their game is not up to date, that I've created a small tool to fix that issue.

The problem is that the offline patchers don't update Galaxy's data tables.

In any case, you can grab the tool (or build from source [url=https://bitbucket.org/miguel_gomes/galaxy-updater]here).

To execute the tool, you just need to have Java (JRE) installed and Galaxy. At the moment the tool only supports Windows Vista/7/8/10 (I need some information to support Windows XP and OSX, if you want to help please send me a message).

Just run the tool by double clicking on its icon and you'll be shown a simple GUI (see image) with the games you have currently installed (same list as Galaxy) and the available versions for each game, after you manually update the game, just select the game and the correct version from the drop downs and push Update. As soon as Galaxy refreshes you will see that game has been updated.

FAQ:

Q: Does this tool update my game?
A: No, it only updates the Galaxy's version, to update either use Galaxy or the manual patchers.

Q: Do I need Galaxy running?
A: The tool reads Galaxy's data tables so, you need to at least run it before using the tool. In any case there is no problem with running the tool and galaxy at the same time.

Q: Is there support for batch support/command line?
A: Yes, but you will need to know the gameid and versionid, run java -jar GalaxyUpdater.jar --help for more info

Q: Does it run on Windows XP?
A: I don't think so, I don't know where Galaxy installs the database files I need (if you want to help PM me).

Q: Does it run on OSX?
A: No, see above.

Thanks.... will try it out. Amazing that it takes a third party program to accomplish something that GOG should account for already. Might want to post a new thread though so more people see it. Been waiting to update Witcher 3 because it's so large, will download the compressed patch soon and try this out.
