I just noticed this for a few games I just purchased and installed.
The game says it's 2.9GB (Stardew Valley) when installing but when I check the download bar it was already at ~60% in about 2 minutes. Now my internet connection is pretty slow (700kB/s or .7MB/s down) there is no way it could have done over a gig in under 10 minutes.
This has happened for "The Flame in the Flood" as well where it jumped to about 40% completion right after starting install.
My question is if GoG Galaxy is pre-installing/downloading games that are in my checkout basket or if it's just displaying the wrong size for the install file.
Any help would be nice thanks.
