It has been almost a year since the Galaxy 2.0 has officially left the testing phase, and made an official replacement of the old Galaxy program. When it was announced that the Galaxy 2.0 was made the official version, one would expect it would have all the basic features as the original one, plus the extras. The extras did come in the form of the program that merges all other accounts from various game stores into the Gog Galaxy 2.0. However, some basic features were omitted, when compared to the old version.

I have waited for months, like I said up there - almost a year, refraining to post anything in this regard, thinking that Gog might update their program, and re-introduce some missing features, but it did not happen. I will write down what the Gog Galaxy 2.0 is missing:

1.) The button to access the forum.
2.) The button to redeem a game's serial number through the program.
3.) The synchronization of labels made to organize the games in library via browser, between the mentioned browser server and the program's server itself.

1.) The old version of the program did have it. It is unbelievable that the new one doesn't have it. One has to click the store page, then enter one random game's page, then enter the section of "more details about the product", then enter that random game's official forum, then enter the community tab, where the forum is located at. Haha, this is unbelievable. :-)

2.) Where has this gone, when and why? It is ridiculous. That is one of the must-have features, and the old version had it as well.

3.) I see no point in sorting the games into various categories, if you can't see the same arrangement in the very program that runs those games. While this one is not as ridiculous and annoying as the previous two remarks, it is still worth implementing.

I am sure this is something that needs to be done, the question is if they are willing to bother themselves with listening to their customer, which is another "missing feature" on Gog.
I still don't understand what is exactly their final purpose, but with the new version of Galaxy they did everything possible to detach themselves from GOG in every possible way.

For this they have eliminated any direct way to reach the forum, they have implemented a completely autonomous system to manage the library and a separate profile from the one visible on the site.

The next step is clearly to create a store integrated into the launcher where you can also buy from other partners as they are already testing with the Epic Games Store.

No, simply like any business they want to increase the revenue and for some reason someone at the top has decided that the best way is to separate GOG from the Galaxy launcher.
