It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I'm trying to connect my steam account to GOG but the GOG connect page has the loading loop with "oops, something went wrong."

I'm using Firefox (46.0.1). I tried running it on Qupzilla as well. OS is openSUSE tumbleweed although that shouldn't matter for the web client - I am able to connect other accounts with steam just fine.

Too bad there is not a single other thread on this forum with the same question.

You must be the only person in the world with this problem.

It probably cannot be solved.

Ok, fine, go read this: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/why_you_cant_connect_to_get_your_games_from_steam/post1

And next time do a search before creating 234095790th new thread. =)

I have to hold my mouth with my hands so I don't burst into laughter in this office room.

The expected daily number of calls for the Steam API is 100,000. The creator of an application that uses said API (like GOG with GOG Connect) may ask for an increase in the daily calls allowed.
On the first day of the application going live, the number of API calls will obviously have been much greater than said 100K allowed ones, so the system is most likely overwhelmed.

Wait a bit, and try again later. You still have a bit over 4 days for the time limited games to redeem them.

Please don't be snarky. You're not winning any appreciation. I did look around and I found a different thread. But no, you just had to assume I don't know what a search function is...
