I have linked my Steam account to my GOG account, and did generate about 5 GOG DRM-free versions of those games, when the GOG Connect service began running (about 2 months ago). Ever since then I have logged into GOG Connect about twice a week, clicked on the Refresh list button, and there have been no games available to connect between the accounts.

Is anyone else experiencing this phenomenon? (Noting that I have over 500 games in my Steam account so it would surprise me if there was nothing to connect.)

When you use GOG Connect, do you see a list of games?
- If you see a list, do you just see matching games (i.e. ones on Steam which are ready to connect to GOG)?
- Do you see a full list of games (i.e. Matching games and non-matching ones)?

Does anyone have a full list of games that have been made available on the GOG Connect service?

I did ask GOG Support, but I didn't get a detailed answer, and I'm still trying to determine if there is an issue at my end.

Please share your experiences of GOG Connect so we can all get a feel for what the service is offering. Thanks!

GOG connect offered specific games for a limited amount of time, more might be offered in the future:

There are currently no redeemable games.
That's why there is nothing to connect, nothing is being offered right now.

Games that are added to the list are announced and they are there for a limited time. They did said that they are planning to add more games to it. It just depends on the publisher/developer.
Gog connect is keeping itself empty purposely to piss you off.

It's working.

A GOG Connect promotion lasts for just under a week, if the ones that have happened so far are any indication. There have been 2 promotions in June, which have both ended, and we are still waiting for the third one. So currently there are no new games eligible for anyone until the next promotion starts. Regular forumites like us have no idea when that will be - it could be tomorrow or months from now.

You know how many years that could possibly take?
Considering that the news thread about connect was one of the fastest growing for a long time, filled with popsitive feedback and forum users are a minority we can assume (or at least hope) that the success blew all expectations of gog and partners out of the waters and right now any further plans they had might change for bigger and better.

that's like 1683 threads so far - ohh wait that means i actually was bored enough to compile a list ^^.

Dunno i'm not really getting why everyone thinks GOG connect has to happen every 2-3 months?!
I mean even if it only happens twice a year with 5 games people have to the chance to get up to 10 games here for free.
Also people really need to start to understand that GOG Connect is a pure marketing tool for GOG - i mean GOG does get nothing for it (except maybe broadened customer base/increased customer bond to the platform) but incurs cost in the form of - allocating bandwidth to provide for the games, the costs incurred to convince publisher to offer their game for gog connect - no matter if only the pure negotiation costs or even some fee to get the games to connect and also the costs/damages incurred by people getting the game here from connect instead of buying it for a second time (yes they are enough people buying twice including me)
Same from the publisher side - the publisher gains nothing from Connect to begin with except maybe a little fee from GOG (we don't know about that) and maybe a happy customer thinking well company xyz is quite cool bringing their game to Connect but on the other hand loses their share of potential second sales and also may compromise their negotiating position with Steam for newer Releases as dunno i find it quite unlikely that Steam likes it if publishers kinda "support" competing platforms.

Also offering connect very often would create a bias of buyers just dont to buy the games here on GOG at all ("they will show up on Connect anyway soon) or just buying them on steam to begin with as they are certain that given game of certain company will show up/will show up most likely on Connect anyway. That totally can't be in GOGs interest so ya it's totally clear that they don't advertise when connect will happen the next time nor which games are most likely to expect.

Still don't understand the "demanding" stuff about GOG connect we are experiencing here in the forum dunno for me it either way feels like total naivety and the lack of understanding how business works or from the people how actually understand it/would understand it it rather feels a bit misplaced/impertinent.

And well that's interesting ^^ Thread 1683 finally made me write a proper reply for the subject :D
