Crewdroog: Is this happening to anyone else right now? If i have chat open on another tab, it keeps causing firefox to crash.
Too lazy to read through the thread. But are you using ghostery? because I had that problem with the new Firefox and it was because of Ghostery. I deactivated it and problem solved.

It is a Firefox AddOn to block tracking etc. But seems like that is not your problem :D

Chat crashing firefox (40.0.2) for me too. Nothing seems to be solved here. I just open Chat, wait a few seconds and crash. Now I type my messages in editor and copy paste them into the chat wondow afterwards. Really annoying! Is there a better workaround?

Do what you have written or use another browser. Firefox 40.0.2 isn't crashing here for now (for me).

yeah, my "solved" was the best joke solution. Nothing has been solved and no blue as said anything, so i gave up.

I just got an update notification for 40.0.3. Pehaps the problem will go away with that? Good luck :D

Ah interesting I almost made this thread yesterday!

I had a few Firefox crashes when trying to type into chat. Pretty annoying! Eventually I had to copy / paste a note. Actually, followup question...

GoG log in eventually asked me to click a box proving I wasn't a robot whence I then had to select pictures of a pickup!

Did something nasty sneak in and steal / hijack my log in info, or was GoG just doing this because prior to I had to log into my account multiple times in quick succession due to the chat / browser crashes?

Does GoG normally require a user to do that if they log in too fast too often too many times?

sigh, now I wish I hadn't made this "solved", but i really thought we'd here from a blue by now. Yes, there is some stupid shit in the thread, but we are serious about this problem.

Hello? Anyone? At least say you read this and are aware of the problem gog. ?
