So, expanded thoughts incoming now.
Nuffle really had it out for me after pulling together 3 rather large wins against Piran, Ghiro and Hanno.
The team really wasn't able to stand up today, as NoHit kept getting all of the smacks and either stunning or KOing my guys today. 2 injuries today, one badly hurt and an MNG, which now keeps my Ogre out of action against the Nagarythe Decadence next week. It could've been worse, as it was Dead, but the apo did a serviceable job in saving him.
Any time we managed to get our hands on the ball, we could drive it pretty deep but we were unable to close out the deal, losing the ball. I know we had to drive ourself out of position a lot to make things happen, but contrary to his name, NoHit got all of the hits today. So many stuns and KOs, and those Werewolves were nuisances today. At least we took one of them out, which managed to give Warner Tuccan his next level. Now he has the ability to Tackle, which could come in handy against those Dark Elves next week.
This loss was a crusher and now making the playoffs looks fairly bleak. Disappointing. But I will say the unexpected resilience of the humans have at least vaulted their odds for returning considerably higher.
Psyringe: Ouch. :( That's probably the most bitter result I've seen here so far, considering the circumstance.

Many of the Seagulls enjoyed their company, but they still couldn't help but feel depressed after a likely season-ending loss.
"The guys were just bummed they couldn't clutch out the game. Lotta unfulfilled promise in that one, and losing Gary really was a morale crusher for today," said Thrower Valt Tiel. "We're hoping we can win next week for him against the Dark Elves."
