That hound has a mind of his own. You can't stop the ninja-husky from dropping the gift codes.

Don't make me grab that rolled up newspaper!
Been there myself a few days ago https://www.gog.com/forum/general/a_scammer_is_impersonating_me_nonewtaletotell/page1

I've emailed support and PMed a Blue. So far no response and the scammer's name still shows up in my chat box, I guess either 1: GOG doesn't care or 2: They're too busy with the sale to worry about this or 3: A combo of 1 and 2.

Hmph, that won't work on me, you, you...

Oh, who's a good boy? Who's a good boy!
Jeez, if someone is gonna be unscrupulous enough to impersonate for the sake of getting free games, why wouldn't they just torrent them instead? It'd be a lot less work.

we've been through this before... the NES clones and Wakaloo(sp?) seem to get an egotrip out of it.

as for other less obvious scammers, it's likely they're selling accounts or reselling codes on dubious websites like G2A.

RWarehall: Actually, I've read a few people have been successful contacting GoG and getting the impersonators banned. Worth a try.
First time I hear of this?

So they're more interested in trying to be "the cool kids" than just being thieves....ok, I get it. I still think they're assholes either way.

I asked myself the same question (I got scammed by SomaTron) and my conclusion was that probably the scammers are selling those games (game codes/game keys) afterwards.
I had the same problem, contacted support and they blocked the imposter. I'm sure they do the same for you if you contact them.
