WOW ZFR what a great giveaway!!! It is people like you and posts like this that make this community so great. I read the original article and was very impressed. It is so common these days to focus on the negative instead of the positive. I really hope that people take the time to think of all the things we take for granted that others pray for. I learned through my children just how great my job was because they had some terrible jobs. I also learned that when we see things as a negative we tend to see everything as negative.

I have so much to be thankful for that I cannot enter this giveaway and possibly take a game away from someone who would appreciate it more than myself.

Thank you ZFR and good luck to all.
Some of the life lessons I learnt and appreciate while working as a customer service rep in Wal-Mart-

It should be the goal of every smart man to create a life he doesn’t need a vacation from

Human beings don’t struggle with depression, they struggle with the cold, harsh reality they live in

When you find love, don’t tell your wife about it

A speaker of truth has no friends

If you loose a friend because you were honest, then he wasn’t a good friend.

It is much easier for a man to live a life of comfortable lies rather than accept the painful truth.

Know the difference between being patient and wasting your time

People like to see change, they don’t want to be changed

Imitation is common, originality is rare

The one thing you can never fail at is in being yourself.

Thanks for the giveaway.

I will be in for Hollow Knight.
ZFR, it's an easy task. I made such a positive list every year :D To be honest it appears in my mind and grow during the year, because I start every day thinking: "thanks, God, here is another day and again I'm the luckiest guy in the world". I'm looking at my life from this perspective very often so consider myself well prepared for this challenge ;)

However this year was really special. In brief:
• I have a son! Our third child was born this year and now I have nice, big family I always dreamed of.
• ‎It's already ten wonderful years with my beloved wife and I really want more.
• ‎As soon as we get to know about being pregnant, we decided to buy a house - we spent all our savings and took a mortgage loan, but, hey, now we have more space, more light and 100m² of our own lawn! :)
• ‎ I live 20km from my job now and I spend a lot of time on a train, but, hey, I have a lot of time for reading books, which would be currently impossible in our monkey house :P
• ‎We were also made to changed a car - the "new" one is second-hand and it's even older than the one we sold, but, hey, it's big and we all can get on board - nobody needs to stay at home! ;)
• ‎ I'm changing my job soon - the money will be the same, but the new one is more challenging and more interesting, I hope! :)
• No time to sleep well (actually no time for anything), but what is a better way to find the real value of time? today I appreciate every single minute of my life!

Regarding giveaway - not in, but great thanks for your generosity and for promoting the right perspective.

Good luck to everyone and - thanks to the giveaway homework - I hope the one with a game code will not be the only winner of this thread.
Cool! I'd like to be in for Elex.

It's a great year! We have an amazing president here and my underserved area is getting gigabit internet lines in the next year. This area turned from a pile of dirt into a goldmine just like that. :D

ZFR: So, here is what I ask in return: take a moment, a minute, an hour, a day to stop and appreciate the beauty around you. Stop complaining; think of something positive. If you do that you have earned your entry in this GA.
wow, I read these words and followed their instruction and a wave of relax came over me

thank you, much needed, times are hard, but there are good things too! necessary to let them enter the self more

I'm in!

games I'd most likely pick from if I win are:

Signal From Tolva (I had put this initially and then realized I hadn't looked at many reviews since it's release or any gameplay since release, had only been following it pre-release - now I've looked at it since release and yes I think is probably the game I'd pick)
Darkwood
Exanima
Tyranny

I'd like to be in. Thanks!

I would probably choose Kerbal Space Program if I won.

Here is a thing that really moved me recently that I have been sharing with my friends: I work and live in a poor neighborhood. And I have made a good friend in particular, let's call him Johnny. But, I run a big Bed and Breakfast, and I am often able to hire Johnny - which is great for him, great for me. But, I recently had been hoping and praying for an opportunity to spend time with him that wasn't work related. I'd rather our friendship not be entirely based around me hiring him. So, a few days go by and then he comes by to say that Justice league movie is coming up and that we should go see it together. I was moved partly because this is what I had been hoping and praying for, but mostly because Johnny is a huge Marvel movies fan. But he knows that I like DC - batman in particular. So, he didn't invite me to see Thor Ragnorak. He invited me to go see the movie I would be interested in. I was really touched. We went on opening day. Had a blast. I am thankful.

ZFR: My original intention was to offer any game in this GA. However, I thought some people might want a cheap game, and would feel silly entering for a 5.99$. So for them there is the option of getting multiple cheap games.
I'm probably in the minority, but I feel much more comfortable entering a GA for a small prize vs. a big prize.

Not sure whether it's just feeling guilty for taking a grand prize, or just an unconcious philosophy that I should use my GA entries on things I might actually buy within in my budget, rather than reach for things well outside my budget even if I might want them.

Very nice GA though - will probably enter once I have time to sit down and look at what I might want/ask for, and write up some of the things I'm thankful for.

I was thinking about that too, but even the other 2 prince of persia games came out to over $15. Also opportunities like this don't happen often so you may as well dream big. If you win, the game you really want would make those tears of regret go away. :)
This s a wonderful giveaway and a lovely gesture!

As for something positive to think on, I had a piece of chocolate caramel brownie cheesecake earlier tonight and it was simply divine! I sometimes like to try new flavours of foods I already like and sometimes it really helps to take a moment for yourself and appreciate the smaller (and in this case delicious) things in life. I hope everyone else has some delicious times during the season and are able to pause for a moment and appreciate them. :)

I'm in for Syberia 2 and/or Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition.

I feel the same way generally but being destitute the past couple years has given me a greater appreciation for those who have the ability to give and so rather than feel funny about it I "let that go" and just exude gratefulness and appreciation - as I know I'd like to have people be if I were the one able to give because it is really great - I wouldn't want someone to feel funny accepting a generous gift, I want them to feel GOOOOOD
1+ For the Giveaway :)

Good luck everyone! :D

Not in :P
I'm in +1
For the game I think I will think about it.

This year I started my job as a developer, it's a great thing but at the same time it's not what I really want to do... I want to work as a developer but I want to create games or small applications (maybe for mobile), but right now I'm "developing" (copy&paste of already made code of that application most of the time) a really huge web application... Something where I cannot express myself as a developer.
I really like programming, but I don't like what I'm doing right now.

It's still great to finally be able to work in my field and I hope I will find my dream job soon. I was able to finally change my computer, and it's not easy to get a well paid job in my country when you have no experience and you're young.
But I think that in the coming years I will finally realize my dreams.

However, it was the first step and I'm happy to have done it.

bram1253: Damn that must've been one rough year for you, I'm really glad everything turned out so well for you ^^
Have a very merry christmas!
Oh, i have been fortunate in my life, more than a lot others who suffer, but this year...yes, very rough, too much negative experiences. But, as i said, the positive one surely brights more than any of the negative, so i'm really happy to have another Christmas with the whole familiy.

Thank you very much for your kind words, and have a very merry Christmas you too, friend :)
