If I gift a game to a friend in a discounted region, will they or I get any of the full global price back?
It is fine for me if the price adjusts on their part of the deal, and offers them credit vs. refund to my cart or a credit to me.
As of now this is the only thing stopping me from gifting on GOG.

If you gift something you will pay US price or your local price if it's higher than US. This is because lots of people abused of gifts on G2A, reselling them for a higher price after buying them in a lower price country like yours.

The answer is no. All gifts on GOG have their price adjusted to the minimum of the US price and this price will be exactly what you'll be paying. No refunds/discounts for you or the gift recipient.
