Ghorpm: Szymankowszczyzna
Gesundheit.

awalterj: Ah...my favorite Polish castle with a name that I could neither write down nor pronounce correctly - snip

Brasas: And in contrast to the usual joke, there's more than one such exemplar :D
I'm getting the impression/suspicion that I haven't "done" Poland yet... I must make future expeditions into the hard-to-pronounce rest of the realm some time.

Ghorpm: Oh come on! Ogrodzieniec is not that bad! A good friend of mine comes from a village called Szymankowszczyzna, that can be challenging to pronounce even for a polish kid. Not to mention our famous Szczebrzeszyn with a nice poem about it: Chrząszcz
Ok that does it, I'm throwing in the towel! Might as well learn Klingon, probably much easier.

Yeah Klingon is probably easier. In Polish single words are hard enough to pronounce but then you have tongue twisters like Stoł z powylamywanymi nogami and my favourite Krol Karol kupil krolowej Karolinie korale koloru koralowego.

Here's a link to some more polish tongue twisters just for fun.

I think for me the hardest to pronounce is: W czasie suszy sucha szosa Sasza szedl

Now you guys are really bringing out the heavy artillery! :D

Interesting thing is that I can pronounce everything just fine once I've memorized it but what I find super hard is memorizing how to pronounce those difficult Polish words because if I just see it in writing, I have no idea whatsoever how to pronounce anything (I just see an evil bunch of consonants) so I have to memorize everything syllable by syllable with the help of a native Polish speaker.
