Hello!

I have recently tried MK1/2/3 from GoG using DosBox, but the games run at 30fps no matter what i try. Even the build in avi recording records the videos at 30fps.

I've seen some videos on YouTube playing those at 60fps and the framerate is obviously smoother in those videos, but I have not received any reply from these guys how to config that.

I have already tried max cycles and different renders etc, but nothing works.

In addition, there are some weird overlays of the actual frames like this one: (notice Baraka's legs).

Any help is welcome :)

Just setting cycles max is not always best, try experimenting with specific numbers like 15000.

You could also try the official DOSBox forums at vogons.org.
There is no MK Kollection for DOS. MK Kollection is a (relatively) modern Windows port (currently mostly broken due to GFWL and abandoned by the publisher). What you buy on GOG are original PC DOS versions from the nineties.
DOS versions of MK1 (on highest settings) and MK3 run at 60 fps, but the port of MK2 unfortunately is locked at 30 (on top of having smaller sprites and no CD audio).
The effect looks like generic screen tearing - try changing output to OpenGL or Direct3D and force VSync through graphic card drivers.
Thank you, Paradoks! It took me few hours after this post to figure out MK2 runs at 30fps no matter what, just as you said. I remember MKT for DOS runs at 60fps as well. I will perform some tests for MK1 and MK3, as MK2 was the first one i tested (with gravis ultrasound fortunately).

Thanks for your help :)
