dyscode: I just cared about the steam key. Actually my D2D acc. is registered to Germany.
I just never bought anything from them before.
Or to be precise I just discovered them shortly before I moved to Japan.
No I am rarely in Europe anymore. :) so D2D is of now real interest to me.

I know you only cared about the key. It's a Steamworks game, I just wasn't sure if I'd be able to send it to your Direct2Drive account so that you could actually get the key, or if I'd be able to buy it for myself a second time and give you the key.

I know that works on GamersGate, I have two copies of Metro 2033 registered under my name and gave a friend one of the keys to activate on Steam when it was on sale.
yeah complications, complications. :) D2D really sucks that way.
All I know is, when all is said and done, in the end, only GOG with the DRM free for all games, can be trusted.

LordKuruku: I already looked up the answer to my question hours ago. Thanks though! To date, I've avoided watching a single Fallout 3\New Vegas video and haven't bothered reading many reviews. All I know is, glitches aside, it's a departure from the original games but was received quite positively.

Liking Fallout as much as I do, I only cared whether or not it was abysmal, and since it's clearly not, I haven't spoiled a second of the game for myself. Unfortunately, it meant I wasn't sure how necessary it was to play Fallout 3 first, but since it's standalone, I had a hunch it wasn't too vital. Besides, understanding references in sequels after playing in reverse can be fun too. :P
I am still a big fan of turn based western style RPGs. Even so, if the game is good, I will play real time ones, even action-rpgs without any problem. Fallout 3 and NV are good enough. Could they be better? Of course, but that is true for all games. :)

BTW: anyone interested in Kane & Lynch 2.
IT´s $6.80 at Steam Daily Deal.

I just played the demo, the visual Style is so DOPE!
and the price seem right for 7 hours campaign.
Anyone has experience with the multiplayer part?

I am strongly considering this.
8hrs to go.

It took me just a bit over 4 hours to beat it on the first go.
Worth the money at this price, but must try the demo first, it is a hit or miss game if you like it enough or hate it.

well they said 7 hours in a review. Demo was very appealing to me :)
My advice: wait for a deeper sale, i bought K&L: DD for 5 bucks and i am sure that it will be 5$ soon. Be patience, few weeks to go to summer sale

I would actually suggest people hold off. I picked up the base game for around $5 during one of the usual Steam sales and it just seems to me that it'll be that price again soon enough (and then with the DLC it'll be $8 or so).

So while it is a damn good game (and great visual style), $6.80 is not the best price for it.

yeah steam summer sale! everybody is waiting for it. :D

yes, the last time K&L2 was on sale for $5 I did not have the hardware to run it
(and I just decided to stop buying games I cannot run).
Then I bought better HW quite earlier than planned, so ...
but I´ll guess you´re right :)
I don't remember seeing it before, so forgive me if this has already been posted.
Getgames offers the full commandos series for 2 Euro

DukeNukemForever: Talked yesterday about it, now it's on sale: Europa Universalis 3 Chronicles 75% off (that's 7.49€ for me). It' the EU3 with all expansions.

http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-EU3C/europa-universalis-iii-chronicles

Now I feel a little bit depressed, because I bought my two missing expansions last weekend for 7.56€. To have one big installer would be nice.

Edit: Sale expires in 2 weeks. Don't know if this is a mistake.
Hmm, I had EU3 vanilla, considering this...

Pheace: What the .. They're advertising Brink, Hunted Demon's Forge, BF3, Alice, Crysis 2 as not available on Steam ... that's not even true for 2 of them ...
Brink and other Bethesda games are not available on Steam for the UK customers .

I find it hilarious that the Brink EU version says that it requires Steam to play and then Brink UK edition requires 3rd-party software.

I wonder what 3rd-party software that could be. :)

Steam . :) Bethesda just removed all their games from the UK steam store , because of some kind of exclusive contract with another UK based store .
Two worlds 2 Tower defence on steam, Just steam as DRM? activation limits?

Edit: so its on topic its 20% off for UK at least

If you found any enjoyment in the Vanilla whatsoever, you have to pick this up. Honestly, I hate/love Paradox's dev cycle - they release a rather shoddy, yet enjoyable game then sell absolutely massive, game changing patches (or expansions, but they act far more like patches) repeatedly ever since. Love them because they flesh the game out FAR more, hate 'em because you have to pay for them. Completely justified in that, though, as those games deserve ever penny (IMO)!

On the other hand, if you didn't enjoy the game but enjoyed the idea, this is cheap enough to deserve a second chance. Trust me, the game is better now :)
