I think I remember seeing the cartoon when I was a kid. Was it more kid-oriented than the comics/games? Or is it about the same humour?

deadfolk: Wings Of Prey is 75% off (€6.25) on Steam today.

Enjoyed the demo a while back, but it had really crappy DRM at the time, which apparently is gone now. Going to revisit the demo tonight and probably pick it up if it still smokes my bacon.
its an amazing game, i think they have gotten rid of the drm and the game got an huge update yesterday

Definitely more kid-orientated. I'd say of all the different adaptations the Telltale games are closest. Hit the Road was a great game, but there's something slightly off about it compared to the comics. Also, I now prefer Telltale's Sam voice. :P
I have Hit the Road on a CD (garage sale victory!) and I'm going to play it now actually.

Do you recommend using DOSbox or ScummVM?

I've played like 10 minutes of it, not much so far.

PS: What do you mean by something is "off"?

I just mean it feels less like the comics than the Telltale games do (to me), it's still a great game!

What to pick to play it with depends on a few things.

What's the native resolution of your monitor?

DOSBox will scale to arbitrary (and large) resolutions and correct and maintain aspect ratio for you. ScummVM will only scale the game to a maximum of 960x600 (960x720 with aspect ratio correction).

Also how DOS savvy are you? ScummVM is definitely easier to set up than DOSBox.

At one time I would have picked ScummVM no questions asked. Nowadays, I'd be more likely to pick DOSBox though.

Quite the discount for a pre-order. Still I'm too concerned about Duke. I'll wait until the holidays.

Well it's a Steamworks title so there'd be no reason to buy from them and not Steam if they went at the same price. At least I think that's the reason.

There's probably also a loyal capsule fanbase who need more incentive to buy a non-capsule game as well.

Haha. If Steam is any indication, no price will sway those people from their preferred platform ;)

Do GMG/Capsule fanboys even exist?
