Delixe: They were cheaper in GetGames' Valentines sale. Also why do they keep calling it Hitman collection when it doesn't have Hitman: Contracts?
Apparently Contracts can't be sold anymore because of rights issues with one song.

I was looking for a cheap copy of the first Hitman anyway (I have 2, 3 and Contracts via Hitman Trilogy on PC, US issue) so I'll pick up part one.

By the way, it's cheaper to pick up the three games separately ($7.47) than the trilogy ($7.49). Jeez.

And obligatory GODDAMNIT SQUEENIX WHERE THE HELL IS LAST REMNANT.

Is Hitman: Contracts a big loss in terms of plot? Or is it ok to completely ignore it and play the rest?

One of the scary things about digital distribution and DRM, that one day games might be unavailable and/or unplayable because of lapsed rights issues.

Glad I have Contracts on the shelf ;)

Contracts was an unconnected collection of missions. You're not missing anything plot-wise by skipping it.

It isn't, especially since many of the missions were remade missions from the first game. However it is the second best game in the series, so it is disappointing that it's no longer being offered.

Unless they did it in a really stupid way, I don't see why the publisher can't just replace the song files with some generic techno song that they whipped together in a few minutes or even silence though.
Well, that's fine by me. I'll look around and decide if I'll buy them. If I like them, I might get Contracts by other means later.

Thanks!
I'd just like to point out that they are totally worth $7.50
Bought them during the winter sale, and loved every minute of them :D
Was a save game feature ever implemented on the first Hitman?
Well there could be a Last Remnant sale tomorrow!
Sunday is likely going to be a rehash.

More likely it will be a Tomb Raider sale which hasn't been around yet. Doesn't look like we will be getting Last Remnant this sale anyway.

I expect Tomb Raider tomorrow and perhaps Last Remnant on sunday. A rehash sale doens't make much sense since only one game has been on sale each day.
Darn, I guess I'm the only one hoping that PC version of Project Snowblind goes on sale - fantastic game on the PS2, but no autoaiming, and I suck at console shooters. I'd really love to have it on a platform where I could actually play it.
Beamdog have a few on sale is $5 (50% off), [url=http://www.beamdog.com/products/death-track-resurrection]Deathtrack Ressurection $2.50 (75% off) and Dawn of Magic 2 $8.75 (75% off).

GMG is terrible beyond belief, but had I not already acquired a copy of Civ V I would probably buy it from them at that price. After all they would provide a Steamkey and all that.
