Did you unrar the temp cab files? If you did, you should be left with basically the same contents as a DVD version. So you certainly should have some form of a installer, whether it's an exe file, msi file or some form of autorun that will point you to the correct file.

So, if you unrar the cab files, you are left with the same as the dvd...so, since I don't know about the retail version of the AOEIII, is it with GFWL DRM or something more?

The 10c and 1 dollar games is to get people using their service. Once you made that step the likelyhood of you buying other games there increases immensely. Luckily their service in itself (client etc) is still so abysmal it hasn't enticed me yet whatsoever. If anything it confirmed I don't to get anything there *unless* it's that cheap.

Direct2Drive have a 20% off code for MMO games in their weekend sale. Apply the code "Batman" at checkout. Not a great deal on offer, but if you were planning on picking up DC Universe Online its comes down to £23.96 which is the cheapest price yet. I think Game has it for £24.99.

Hi guys, I've got a Mafia 2 cd key for sale, anyone interested? Problem is that it can only be activated on US Steam account. CD Key is perfectly legal, I've bought it on Amazon but it is not possible to activate it on EU Steam (Steam support told me directly that they won't help me activate it). I can sell it for 10$ (paypal) or trade for another game. Anyone? Mail if interested: tomo.rtk@gmail.com

Yeah but I have like 60 games on Steam, if this gets me banned my life is over, quite a risk, don't you think so? Have you tried this?

Yup, done this for both Modern Warfare 2 and the very version of Mafia 2 you have. And no, it won't get your account disabled. Contrary to the rumors Valve's fan boys, er, "moderators" like to propagate, Valve can't even tell the difference between a user with an actual IP address in the US and a user using a US based VPN. Especially as you're not even making a purchase. You are simply installing your legally purchased game.
