If you want combat, I would buy Freespace (from here) or Evochron (from anywhere else :p) instead. The X-Series is REALLY fun late game, but you need a massive infrastructure to support combat (losing a shield or gun is REALLY expensive).

If you want to balance economics with exploration and combat, the X-Series is great.

Age of Empires 3 keys are now available. Played the tutorial..very nice game.

That's not a bad price actually. So I've contacted their support to confirm that they will actually ship to Japan. And while I couldn't play UK games with my old standard-def TV, I think my new hi-def one should be okay, especially as the PS3 is now connected with an HDMI cable.

On Alpha Protocol deal - FUCKING BUY IT.

Uniloc is an Internet activation type DRM. Sega claims that you get 5 installs. The DRM itself 'hides' something on your computer in a rootkit like way. SecuROM did something like this with a null string folder or item or something.

Rootkit Revealer came along, and they had to update their null string folder to have another folder warning you that deleting this folder would hose SecuROM.

The folks at Tages have taken a stand against this method (according to wikipedia).

Also interesting is that they are suing Microsoft for patent violation. They seem to have lost on appeal, though.

edit: At some point, Sega promises to remove the DRM.

Note the implementation on AP lets you install on five PCs at once, not total. And you can activate and deactivate all you want (link). And yeah, they said in 18-24 months after launch, they'll patch it out.

Did anyone play Evochron? It's available on Gamersgate and the description seems sweet... the problem is, that even the internet never heard of this game... no reviews, anything. And also, somehow I don't believe when a 50MB game promises a huge open-ended universe.
