muddysneakers: 2064: Read Only Memories is provided via Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux and is also provided DRM-Free for Steam. A free Steam account is required.

There are many many more like this. I have no idea what it means.
Maybe it means that you'll get a Steam key and have to use the client for downloading and installing the game but afterwards you don't need the client to run it? There are games like that on Steam, although it is the first time that I've heard of a store actually advertising it as DRM-free ...

BeatriceElysia: Are you sure you don't mean DRM-free OR steam key?

You're definitely going to get 100% DRM-free copy from your Humble account. You'll just get also a steam key on top of that.
They have problems with wording.

muddysneakers: I'm looking at the Humble Sale and I see this phrase all over the place "provided DRM-Free for Steam". What does that mean? Is it actually DRM free or it requires a Steam account? I've bough several DRM free bundles from Humble back in the day but I don't remember this phrasing before.
id say thats 100% a typo. they know the difference .

Edit: okay, its site wide, but im pretty sure its a typo as the language could cause them legal issues otherwise.
Edit2: just bought a gift... lets see what is said when redeemed...

Yup. Momo got the game i gifted both drm free and as a steam key.

The phrasing: "provided via Steam for Windows] and is also provided DRM-Free for Steam. A free Steam account is required."is a major sitewide typo.

It's so major I'm not sure if you can still call it a typo. Should be: "provided via Steam for Windows (a free Steam account is required) and is also provided DRM-Free", since no Steam account is required for the DRM-free version.
Point me to the best thread to discuss this

BeatriceElysia: Point me to the best thread to discuss this
What's to discuss exactly? That Valve continues to do the right thing and bus shovelware off into the bin when they feel they have to intervene? It's not a new practice and they've cut some of the "developers" and "publishers" of those titles off at the knees before - the Reddit thread is probably the best place to discuss it and it really isn't even discussion worthy there given that it's a pretty common thing at this point (posts in that thread talking about getting caught in the crossfire and guilt through circumstance/etc. are unfortunate but at what point do people have to stop and think that maybe it's best not to associate with sources of such low quality due to the unknown factor that they might be flagrantly breaking the Steam TOS?).
Not to shift focus too far from the point of the thread with my previous response, here's an OK-ish deal (Steam though):

Hitman 2: Gold Edition at IndieGala as a Crackerjack Deal - $18.99USD

If you're a fan of the series, it's worth it. If you happen to own the GOTY of the previous title (HITMAN, or Hitman 2016 if you prefer) then buying the Gold of its successor will grant you access to the content from it to play in the fresher game (otherwise it's available as purchase-able DLC because... yeah).
Humble Sonic Bundle 2019

$1
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle DLC
Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Sonic CD
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode I
Sonic Adventure DX

BTA
Sonic Generations + Casino Night DLC
Sonic Lost World
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode 2
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing

$10
Sonic Mania
Sonic Mania - Encore DLC
Sonic Forces

All games are only available as Steam keys and are only compatible with Windows.

MATRIX GAMES HOLIDAY SALE up to 90% off!

GOG please get it together! I'd rather buy the games from you. I don't know how long I can still hold on.....
Steam store: [Halo Spartan Bundle = $1.99]

Includes: Halo Spartan Assault + Halo Spartan Strike

Lowest price ever for these games, instant buy for me.
itch.io has a Black Friday sale as well, potentially with some good offers, like The World Next Door for $2.99, but when I wanted to buy a game, I was asked to fill out a form about my name and address and then VAT was slapped on top of the previously advertised discount price, which put me off from actually going through with the purchase. Not sure though if that's site wide or depending on the publishers you buy from (probably not their fault either, it's just that over here sellers are required to show the actual price including taxes up front, so adding costs retroactively feels like a scam to Germans ;) ).

EDIT: Oh, I see The World Next Door is actually the same or even cheaper on GOG now. It was just an example though, since it's better known than other games on itch.io. (The game I was actually trying to buy was Clam Man.)

Dragon Age 2 (Origin) is $2.49 at the Humble Store. Not as good as the first Dragon Age but still a decent game. Definitely worth it at this price.
