woah, 4 bucks for stalker? I don't think I'll get it any cheaper than that even if I do wait till I have a system that can run it. Might as well grab that on friday.

Weclock: I missed it when it was on Sale on D2D.. I guess I'll get it through STEAM(ing pile of shit).
avatar
michaelleung: Wow, you're really sticking to your principles here.

I can't find it on digital any where else for that price, I really don't want to buy it off of steam, but as far as I can tell only GG, D2D, and Steam have it.
I am tired of GG being so slow, and I hate Steam, but I also hate full price.
I'll see how I feel about it after I play some l4d2.
True, and it's $14 (!) on GoGamer.com. Gamersgate, like I said before, is definitely for games less then a gigabyte, because obviously someone didn't put "high bandwidth" on the expenses sheet or something. Sadly, Steam is where it's at.
The Witcher is also 50% off on Steam, apparently to celebrate being available worldwide. It isn't. It's still regionally restricted so don't get your hopes up.

This has to be illegal. You can't lie about where your stuff is sold like this, can you?

Delixe: The Witcher: EE is 50% off on Impulse till Sunday (€13.91) however its not available in Western Europe (D'oh!). Does anyone know if you can gift the game from the NA or Eastern Europe?
avatar
lackoo1111: need any help?

Well yeah if you can. I always load up my card on Friday for some online shopping. Anyone willing to gift me Witcher on Impulse I can reimburse with paypal or any game of equivalent value.

I find that Gamersgate pick up the download speeds between 4am and 9am GMT. Obviously not enough servers to meet demand. Red Faction: Guerilla was a pain for two reasons. 1) it was 7.5GB and 2) It's total arse.

Actually, it appears they posted the news item early. It *is* now available worldwide.

Typical. Available on Steam but not Impulse worldwide.

Of course. Impulse are the new D2D.

in fairness, they don't restrict regions because they WANT to, its usually due to limited distribution rights, who holds the rights in what region, etc, and whether they have permission from all parties involved.

That's the common excuse, yes. But all it boils down to, is they most likely aren't even *trying* to get the rights for other regions.

they don't want to sell things in more places to make more money? strange assumption to make...
