We have one too: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/the_region_restriction_currency_conversion_scam_avoidance_topic

Tizzysawr: Why exactly does it have to be in the UK? I though the game was the same worldwide. And do you mean $5 for civV, or $5 + the price of civV? :P
There's a store in the UK selling copies of Civ V for 2.35 pounds. Now, if you want to buy Civ V for me for full price, I'd be glad to give you $5. =P

chautemoc -

Thanks for the link. I just bumped the thread.

Gundato: Freaky awesome deal on CIv5. Sadly, us filthy Americans are unable to cash in on it.

Civ5 for 2.35 squiggly moneys http://www.coolshop.co.uk/catalog/product/3024370-sid-meiers-civilization-v--for-download
Well - That was a waste of time creating an account. Nailed by an IP check - even after entering an English address. No Civ for me.

Where is Navagon when you need him

Just tried it now. Got a steam code, looks authentic, unfortunately cannot try it until this afternoon UK time.

Mind helping me out too? You'll get something back too, of course.

I'll try it for you (of course, you would have to buy another one), in exchange for what I offered above.

Hadn't noticed :P thought you guys just wanted to avoid some steam region restriction :P I might get someone to help you tomorrow if it persists.

Thanks. I'm hoping to get in before they notice and fix / retract the offer.
How can this be legit?

In related discount news, I’m going to blow my load early, in case the offer is gone by the time for the bargain bucket in the morning:

Civilization V (that’s 5, not a typo) for £2.35
http://savygamer.co.uk/2010/10/23/civilization-v-pc-2-35/

I’m not sure if you can order it from outside the UK (let me know), but it would be data smuggler friendly anyway, because you just get a code to plug into Steam.

Confirmed working, because I just did it myself.

Thanks for the tip, it is UK only though. They do an IP check.

That’s a shame. They won’t let me buy more than one either."

Hopefully some folks from the UK either already have, or don't want Civ V and are feeling magnanimous.

Edit: Sorry for the bold-face, but I wanted to differentiate my words from the 'borrowed' ones.

Oh and yeah I'll gladly gift a $6 GoG game or something on Steam to any U.K. gamers out there who already own it.
Unfortunately, it looks as if it may be a one per customer deal, or it has expired, I just went back to the product page and nothing doing, it is £26, even after I logged out. I will be at a different IP address this afternoon, so I will try then, but the offer may well be gone by then.

Thanks for trying.
