I appreciate it, but no need. It suddenly worked!

Guess it was because of the traffic or something? Who knows...

+1 regardless. :)

Yeah that's probably just a minor hitch with the transaction. If the problem were more permanent, you'd have been given a different error message.

And that said, DeathSpank and Shank have both turned up on Steam for pre-order at 10% off. Is DeathSpank worth it? As it's published by EA, I expect it to be regionally restricted very soon, so I'm wondering if it's worth trying to pre-order it before Valve notice their likely mistake.

lowyhong: Effin' ace bros. Gamersgate is having a 50% offer on all 3 Megadrive compilations.

Does anyone know whether gamepads are compatible with those games?
Yeah, all are I think. You just use the mapping function and it sets it right up.
DotEmu is giving away Tyrian, if anyone is interested :) Cool little game, like Raptor. I remember playing it as a kid.

It's the same game as yesterdays...? Space Harrier 2?

Cryxo: It's the same game as yesterdays...? Space Harrier 2?
Scratch that. Seems there's some conflicting information. SEGA are stating that this game is being offered for 3 days:

Not got your free digital PC copy of Space Harrier II yet from GamersGate? No fear, we've still today and tomorrow left on the offer. New day however = new code which is now up in the Discussions section. Click the tab and select the Day 2 topic to get it..

While GamersGate think it's available once per month:

Did we tell you that we're gonna do this give away with SEGA once a month with a new game every time? :)

=S

Miner Wars is having a 70% discount if you pre-order now! It looks like quite a remarkably ambitious game, and it's only about $12, so why not!

Yup. Now I have two Space Harrier 2's in my game list. Just in case I want to share it, I guess...

I love nostalgia as much as the next guy, but, just looking at pack 1, it has Golden Axe and Altered Beast arcade ports, which, if I recall correctly, weren't good. Back in the day I was pretty handy at Golden Axe Arcade. For arcade fans, GA2 was a quarter eater. Only draw was the really wide screen and four players at once. Back to the pack 1 - Vectorman was a pretty cool game though. Pack 3 has Sword of Vermillion, which I recall correctly was rather rare.

Does anyone know what emulator they are using? Is it a modified Kega Fusion or something they've whipped up? Steve Snake (Kega author) is an awesome coder. I believe he's created the 68000 and Z80 emulators from scratch. Most of the Megadrive/Genesis emulators back in the day used the Starscream ASM library for 68k emulation, but it's been a while - don't even know if it is still actively developed.

I am sure gog will reelase all here after they release all the Hasbro titles.
Oh L4D sale...
A question to you people: are they worth it to get if I don't intend to play online?

I don't think so. I've bought the first part back then and when I tried the game I was really dissapointed since I was expecting a campaign (albeit shorter) similar to Half-Life. But it's very far from that. The campaigns are very short, you can play through one in an hour. It's still fun if you like survival games but there is no real point playing them in single. Also I think you can't even play singleplayer without being online. But they are fun in multiplayer though.

But, if you like playing CS only with bots, then go for it.
