Spent 5000 blue coins on Safecracker; it looks genuinely good, and Faithful's review also sold me on the game (cheers m8).

Might try it out tonight and let you guys know if it's worth the purchase.
Impulse:
Supreme Commander Gold 50% off, $14.99.

bansama: Actually, reading up on it, if you're interested in XL 2011, buy the $5 dollar version of the current XL. The reason being that owners of the original XL will apparently get the new one for half price.

Have a look at the following links:

Hi fellow Bansama, thanks for the tip.

How does this offer works anyway? It's a pre-order only or what? Let's say the game will cost $50 and they're having a 50% off offer... Even then I'm not that much interested in 2011, to pay 25 bucks for it.

I'll wait for reviews when it's finished, to check if it's more focused on the SP and not on the MMO side of it. For who wants the 2009, there's only 4 hours left to buy it.

PS: And once again, the average Steam user will talk about how Steam/Valve is benevolent, they did a 50% offer for who purchased from their promotion...

While in reality it is the publisher trying to compensate for the 2009 users, and already giving a kind of life support to the 2011.

Crassmaster: They also have the frighteningly enormous War in the Pacific : Admiral's Edition, a game that can take a year of real life time to play through, 30% off ($54.99 download in US) until Oct. 3rd.
These guys must be nuts, really, being a niche isn't an excuse to extort people like this. They are still charging the equivalent of CoD:MW2 and worse, it's through digital river, which means you don't own the game like 1 year from now if you didn't make a backup of it.

And it's locked to 1024x768? :(
another pathetic Impulse weekend sale
Steam:
TF2 for $9.99, 50% off

I have no idea as I do not play the game, but according to another forum, the DLC is simply unlocks that you can earn through normal gameplay. According to them, the best purchase is to buy the base + expansions for $10, saving you $8 on stuff you could earn through normal play.

Technically, the expansions are listed as DLC. Regardless, I just wanted to point out that everything related to the game is on sale as well, not just the base game.

Best selling game they've ever sold. People are willing to pay because of the time investment...I'm not kidding when I say people spend a year of their time playing through a full Pacific campaign. Running EVERYTHING...R&D, Production, every ship, every squadron, ever battalion of troops. This is the ultimate wargaming grognard game. And is it REALLY a jip pricing a game that will eat up literally years of gaming time at $70+? Matrix has other games I would agree are overpriced, but this isn't one of them.

If you skip the deck unlocks (which can be mostly done by simply playing the campaign and duels) and the aesthetical-only foil conversions, you can get the main game for $5 and both expansions for $5 ($2.5 each), totalling a very reasonable $10. It's a good game, even if it has no deck building, and well worth 10 bucks.

I know, I have nothing against this title in particular. I'd buy it for $60 sure if I was willing to play it for a whole year or more, I just dislike digital river (and there's a 30 days limit, not 1 year as I thought it was). And I think that most of their catalogue, specially the older titles, could have been discounted as time passes by.

There's the alternative of shipping it: to me it costs $10 for physical media + $11.25 for shipping, which would be much better having the box and disc in my shelf. $76.24 for one game.

IMO they would sell a lot more if the games were discounted further AND if there was something like Telltale Games does, of only paying the shipping but not the physical media.

Yes, I'm cheap ass. :p
