I don't know if this is the best place to ask, but... Is there a forum at GamersGate?
I just registered there but the closest thing I can find is the game tutor.
*Hoping this is not a stupid question*

They don't have a forum for the store anymore. When they used to be a part of Paradox there was a GamersGate subforum in Paradox forums but since they got separated that forum was deleted and they didn't create a new one.
I didnt know they separated from Paradox. Who owns them now?

Well, thanks. It seems there's something at gamersgate.com\forum, but it's completely empty. They're probably working on it.

chautemoc: Sure, in the other thread so the deals thread is actually useful.

And complaining about (or mentioning) the restrictions in this thread is useful too. As people then know not to bother getting interested in purchasing a game they would have liked to buy.

I'm not sure. It appears they are independent now so they could be self-owned.
Here is the only reference I could find: http://www.cinemablend.com/games/GamersGate-CEO-Steam-Dangerous-For-Publishers-20347.html

They were split off as an independent company. The CEO of Paradox at the time of the move became the CEO of GG, while the #2 guy at P-Dox took the top spot there.
75% off select titles at the THQ Store.
So, what sort of bullshit does one have to suffer to buy from the THQ store? The FAQ makes it sound like you just download an installer and a serial key, which is fair enough, but if someone can confirm that (and whether activations are limited), I'd appreciate it.

Some serials can (and indeed have to be) registered with Steam. But for some people that's out of the frying pan and into the fire. Beyond that I've got no idea.
Edit: here's a list.

Thanks for reminding me about that little snare. It isn't actually listed on THQ's web site, but apparently the only one I wanted is a Steamworks title, so screw it.
Auditorium and Fractal are on sale for $4.99 each.
(Both games are pretty good)

Some of these look decent!
I've heard DoW2 is not that good if you own CoH, is that true?

Hmm... DoW 2 is kind of like a cross between CoH and a squad based Diablo. It mixes in loot, boss fights and levelling up with the point capturing and strategic map. It's a very different kind of game that fails as an RTS but triumphs when judged on its own merits. I just wish that Relic would stop calling it an RTS because they're not doing it any favours.

I own CoH and DoW2 and I played DoW2 through completely within a week. I still haven't finished CoH. DoW2 is the better game IMO.
Side note: I'm amazed that they have Metro 2033 for $12.50. I'm picking that up.

+rep for pointing this out. Some good deals to be had.
