I call this an "awesome" DRM. Hell, now I don't know why I bother getting those free game of the week.

My opinion on this is what I've said for the other, less than $5 games - It's a rental. It's not yours.
By the way, the Prince of Persia deals (WW & SoT) from Games for Windows Live required I load a Tages driver and activate online via a company called @ctiv. Anyone know anything about these? Plus I had to enter a serial key. Yuck all around. At least I could copy and paste it.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. They seem to repeat most of those games regularly, so you could always just wait and snag another code next time around.

Ah gawd just got the pack from STEAM :P ... anyone on here that has it from Gamersgate? It lists SecuROM as DRM, does it have to authenticate online or something?

That maybe, but you only mentioned the free games. Either way, I personally don't buy any games from them. I mainly get all such games from Big Fish.
Probably because Square Enix are now in control of Eidos and they are most certainly never going to buy into the idea of "no regional restrictions".

Actually, I asked them about all their games and their main DRM policy, not just the free games (though, probably because of the way I posted it here in this thread, it might have suggested that it is only for the free games).
