Another Thursday with boring weekend deals on its way . ( ̄へ ̄)

ne_zavarj: I was right .

Nothing good on sale .
D2D UK sucks (can't preorder a game that available in Hungary with a hungarian IP address)
GameStop / Impulse sucks because they think i'm from GB
GamersGate offers = ( ̄へ ̄)
Never liked the Sonic games , so i pass the weekend deal on Steam
Amazon sales were awesome though. I'm enjoying Alice a lot (except for a few annoyances) and in 2 days I'll be able to get Crysis 2 for $5 with my last coupon. Had I known that the coupons were going to be so good I'd have gotten more.

taczillabr: Select Sonic Titles 50% to 75% off, at Steam

Most of the old Sonic titles are $2.49 each

Kurina: For those interested in Generations, Amazon will be running a deal on this next week for the same price, and it can be knocked down to $10 if you have an Amazon coupon from the holiday sales. So if you have a coupon, may be worth waiting and snagging it for a little more off later on.

In that case, if you have the coupon for Steam that one is cheaper than the Amazon deal, it's $7.50

Definitely. I only mentioned it since the Amazon credit can be applied to any bestseller title and was easier to obtain, so more people likely have that than the random lottery style coupon system Steam used.

If anyone does have a Steam coupon by luck though, definitely the better bargain.

True, a lot more people will have Amazon discount since it applies to all bestsellers.

jlg6184: Yeah, that new Sonic Weekend Sale has really killed my prospects of trading my copy off...LOL
That's why you get them on sale to begin with :D

Go and buy it . :p

Tizzysawr: Horribly overpriced IMO. They should sell all old sonic titles for $5 on a pack, regular price.
Amazon offered the whole lot of 48 Mega Drive Classics during their Christmas sale for $10.

I got mine in a pretty good deal, but was hoping to flip it for a bit of profit, now with the coupons and the sale, I'll be lucky to break even. But thus is the way of the trade. I may just go ahead and keep it, I mean, the game does have decent reviews.

Steam had a similar sale with the Sega Mega Drive Classics collection for $7.50 (-77%). So f you're after some of those games, far better to wait for a sale on those packs.

Wasn't there the issue that one of the packs was incomplete? Or that both didn't have all games? I remember something...

Amazon pack had both ToeJam and Earl games.

I remember something like that but I also remember them adding it in afterwards. At least for the ones bought during a certain period or something like that.

taczillabr: Agreed. The day Sega says "$4.99 for a pack of 5 sonic oldies" is the day I'll buy them.
$5 is too much. $3, maybe. There's no reason for Sega to refuse to bundle these games at a lower price, other than greed.

Those packs never include the Sonic games.

Foxhack: Those packs never include the Sonic games.
Bit difficult to find the posts from back then but here's one case at least which shows what i was referring to:
"To those who purchased the Sega Genesis collection a few weeks back may have noticed that Sega left the Sonic games out of the pack. Fortunately, and update issued today apparently gave me all three Sonic genesis games on Steam.

Yay steam!!!"
Link

And here a guy who's complaining because the Sonic games were retroactively added to the pack:
Ive only just discovered that the sonic games were retroactivley added to the pack. Ive only realised it now because there was no notification that they had been included, no extra download, since I already owned them.
link

And the "Where are the SONIC games in the Classics Collection Bundle?!? " Thread on the Sega forums which ends with:
i just got the lost games in my steam account.

Big Thanks Sega
Ditto, Thanks! Gonna love the hell out of Sonic.
And Finally the "OMG There was an update, Sonic games added! " Thread with 2 pages of people rejoicing.

There you go ^^
