bansama: Of course, before people get too excited, the Civ 4 deal is regionally restricted to the US. The game is sold without such restrictions but at the wonderful deal price of $35.95 (and more for Europe)

I see it for $16 on the game page, and I'm in Brazil. Perhaps it's "non-Europe" instead of "US-only"?
It looks like it's the package without Colonization.
Impulse has some stuff for a really good price this weekend.
World of Goo $9.99
Sins of a Solar Empire (with the Entrenchment mini-expansion) $20
Demigod $20
Anno 1404 : Dawn of Discovery $24.95
Sword of the Stars Complete Edition $24.95

JudasIscariot: Uplink is not that hard really. You just have to read the item descriptions and you can hack away. Really, there aren't any hard puzzles in the game, just have to read a bit :D.

Hmm, did they change it in some patch? I recall it requiring a lot of console commands, as well as using IP numbers with "octets" in the 300-range (instead of maxing out at 8 bits - 255).
Gogamer.com is having a pretty sweet sale, with games like the Movies going for $2.

According to their email it's US only. It certainly isn't on sale in Japan.
D2D have just put Aaaaa (I'm a stupidly named game)! back on sale for $11.25 -- making it cheaper than their original pre-order sale. Probably pissing off the two or three people who pre-ordered... (assuming that is, that it's back on sale due to poor initial sales).
Impulse also list it as on sale, for an amazing 70 cents off (but it isn't actually on sale when you view the product page).

FOR HOW LONG?! Might buy it since I lost a CD key and don't have anyway to get one back...
Oh, it's for 2 days....What are the rates for shipping?
EDIT: STEAM SALES.
All Strategy First games 50-% off.

Well at least it isn't available in Europe at that price. 39,95 euros it is. Still I don't see the point of it as play.com etc. will sell the complete pack for 10,49 euros which is... umm... much less. Of course it would make using discs obsolete etc. but for almost 4 times higher price? Come on...
39,95 euros = 57,052595 U.S. dollars
10,49 euros = 14,980769 U.S. dollars

It's annoying that physical games at places like gogamer are more expensive than downloads... cos most physical shops won't ship overseas... at least not for a reasonable price.

They're not bad, like a buck or two.

Well, that's the argument of digital distribution vs physical copies. But then again doesn't play.com always have some sweet deals? I have never gotten anything from them because they are overseas :(

Yeah, they often have sweet deals. They are located near Great Britain on Jersey Island. They don't belong to EU tax area so I guess they don't have VAT. Of course some countries have limitations to what you can order without customs getting interested. In Finland the goods under value of ~45 euros can pass through because they don't carry any taxes that are under 10 euros.
I've been using play.com for few years now. First I took some music albums and then some games. For an example play.com had Civilization 4 at 26 euros when it first came out. Local stores around here carried it for 45-50 euros price tag. Other reason is the large stock of goods. And shipping is included to prices. Delivery takes about a week to Finland and it's quite reasonable.

Street Fighter IV is 50% off on Steam -- if you're lucky enough to not live in South East Asia.

I was thinking of getting it but I've gone off the idea while typing, I'm sure my lappy won't run it

Yeah I doubt it. Mine didn't run it at more than a slideshow. My card's a 9100M, 2g RAM, Athlon X2 Ql-60 1.9ghz. If you fiddle with the shadows and the grass (grass is oddly, enough, probably the biggest drain) and some other setting it might be run-able if you have a better CPU, though (but you'll probably still need a cooling pad, my laptop gets superhot playing it). It's really a beast of a game. I put in 2 more g's of RAM since then, so it might run better, but I have it for the XB360, so I haven't tried.
I think someone at gogamer has recently worked for valve. This reminds me of that very good minigolf sale
Prince Of Persia (new one), .90
LOTR Online Shadow of Angmar Special Edition,
Battlestations Midway,
Shadowrun, 1 CENT
Malestrom, 1 CENT
"GoGamer does not ship to International Destinations at this time."
:(
I'm passing the weekend deals on Impulse and Steam.Nothing to choose from.
