Kabuto: I'm concerned about the input sync issues on pc that have caused some to fail despite entering the correct timed sequence.
avatar
Delixe: I didn't experience that but I was using the Xbox360 controller. Were other using the same or KB or 3rd party?
It's not the input device. Seems Nvidia users had to force triple buffering and v-sync to fix the issue. What card do you use?

Delixe: €2.49 for 4 Dreamcast games. That's nothing to complain about not matter how poor the port is. For the price it's a steal and for most people this will be the first chance they had to play Space Channel 5: Part 2 because it was never relased outside of Japan other than a limited run in France.
Oh. Yeah, that's a pretty good deal. It's about twice that much in the US.

Total War Mega Pack for $17. Includes:
Empire TW, Medieval II TW, Napoleon TW, Rome TW, and expansions/DLCs.

God I hate some things about Steam but this deal rocks so hard.
I wish they had thrown in Shogun 1 in there for a couple more bucks, though.

Shogun 2 TW is 50% off ($24.99)

SEGA has previously released PC versions of Sonic Adventure DX and Crazy Taxi on PC. They were high resolution and ran well, etc. You might think you were buying these games. You're not.

These are the 2011 ports. I've only played Sonic Adventure DX, but I assume most of this goes for the rest of the games in the collection. It were ported from PC to Xbox 360, then back again. It runs at 640x480 and is just upscaled to whatever resolution you choose. As a result, it doesn't run well on older systems. It runs and looks worse than the version released ten years ago. Also, all the bonus Game Gear games you could unlock in the PC version of Sonic Adventure are removed.

If you want Space Channel 5: Part 2 or SEGA Bass Fishing, go for it. Otherwise, look around for the older ports.
Space Channel 5 part 2 run awful in pc. I have it and unless you have a lot of patience to circunvent and reconfigurate all the bugs, I can't recommend it.
And to see how many bugs and problematic this games are, just go to steam forums.

ATI. That could be the problem alright.

DoW2 is not region restricted. I dunno about The Ball. But you can check if it's restricted or not even now.

Awesome latest promo - have bought both Baldurs Gates, both Icewind Dales, NVN's and Planescape. All games I'm yet to experience as a relatively new pc gamer. Now my dilemma is where to start! - Any recommendations?

Baldur's Gate 1, which will get you familiar with the old AD&D rules. Then go through BG 2. Move to IWD 1.

IWD 2 uses the D&D 3rd edition rules, so you'll be familiar with them when you're ready to move to NWN which also uses that rule set.

Planescape is pretty unique so toss that one in whenever you feel you want something very text heavy and story-driven.

BTW, if you're thinking you may want to try out NWN on-line (and there are some very good servers to check out), I'd suggest tossing an e-mail to GOG support for your on-line CD keys right away. That way you're all set to go if you decide you want to check it out.

Fantastic - thank you. By the time I've completed these I'll be older, wiser........and probably single :)

Foxhack: Edit: Oh yeah, the Toe Jam and Earl games are still gone from Steam.
They can't be purchased on GamersGate either. Legal issues between the IP holder/developer and SEGA are preventing it from being sold (digitally) last I heard.

They should quit being assholes and just sell the damn game.
