Steam has Chronicles of Riddick again, I always want to pick it up, but TAGES :(

does it support win7 64 bit?

I've read some reports of issues with Tages and 64 Bit Win7. Not sure if it's been resolved since though. My bigger reason to avoid it is that Atari posted back on their old boards they promised to remove the DRM and yet it's still there. Not personally touching that game with a barge pole due to that.

yeah, I've heard similar, it's due to the driver which I don't think they will be able to fix... such a great game ruined by such shitty DRM :(

The driver issue is fixed by installing the 64bit version of Tages from www.tages.com or something similar prior to launching the game for the first time. I played it fine on Win x64 Home Premium

It plays fine on all 64 bit versions of windows. Here is the link for tages x64 driver. After the game installs I would remove the old driver and then install that downloaded x64 one.

Not a deal, but I don't want to clutter the forum with useless posts asking for the location of other posts! Wasn't there a proper trading thread here on the GOG forums somewhere? I used the search function, but it isn't coming up unless I am blind.

Figured this would be the best place to ask without making pointless new threads.

Agreed, I find TAGES disgusting since it's basically a virus that installs drivers to your computer.

Is it even fucking needed anyway i mean it's on steam ffs you don't need another layer of DRM.

Atari can go fuck themselves.

kinda inclined to agree, thanks to everyone that mentioned that it works, but I don't think I'm going to pick this one up this time. I'd rather not have unnecessary drivers mucking up my system. Not only that, but I just spent even more money on other stuff I don't need, so I think I'll try to save a bit here.
