dyscode: What? I have an sucky brand new intel HD 3000 graphics and it´s playable with 25FPS in lowest shader quality on 1280x800.
I though the GF8000 series was better.
An 8400 GS has about the same power as oh, a GeForce 3.

No shit. :p

Dragobr: The 8400 is way too old, and is the low end of that series. There's a huge difference between an 8400 and an 8800 (which is probably still better than your card).
I used to have one of the cheapest 8800, the GF 8800 GTS 320 MB and playing Metro 2033 was like watching a slideshow. Maybe the 8800 GTX could run it though.

ne_zavarj: I can only recommend Phantasmat Collector's Edition, but i bought it from the developer's website .
Already have the standard edition and never really enjoyed it enough to keep playing it =/.

But yeah, way too many hidden object games right now. So I think I'll skip this sale. Not really wanting to buy the only one I'm mildly interested in at $9.99 and there's nothing on BFG right now that tempts me to reactivate my membership.
an ati 5670 vga is below 80 bucks, cheap, low temp, low TDP. It can handle Metro 2033 max settings 1280x1024 with no AA and has FPS average 60.
Personally, i don't like Nvidia 8800 series, they are very hot, high TDP, noisy.

HOG = the source of all gaming evil.
Anyone?

Please someone from the USA or Canada be so kind and buy me Dragon Age 2 on direct2drive. I will send first the money via PayPal, or buy GOGs for the same amount of money. Plus, there is a 15% off coupon code (CHEAPASS15). So with the coupon code, the game should be 10.2 USD.

The reason is, it's much cheaper on the US site than on the UK site.

ne_zavarj: Amazon.com (digital download )

Deus Ex: Human Revolution $34.99
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition $41.99
Anyone knows what type of DRM does it have?
is there anyone here, would be willing to gift me Metro 2033 on Steam in euro? It's 2,50 in euro, but as I'm in Britain at the moment, I can only buy it for the almost triple price of 5 pounds! I will pay back later in the form of some other game :) Thanks a lot!

Nevermind, I managed to bypass the system, remote desktop rules :) In your face, steam! Hehe

I don't understand these. A few years ago, traditional adventure gaming was all but dead, replaced by action adventures. Now casual gaming shows there's a huge demand for puzzles and stories without the reflex requirements. Yet instead of games where you find a believable assortment of objects and use them in relatively logical ways, we get games where you find a bunch of random hidden objects and do nothing with them. Am I missing something?

wvpr: Am I missing something?
Finding stuff involves no thinking and single screen puzzles are easily recognizable and can be generally solved in a minute. Pick up and play. It's like Space Invaders only you find the buggers with your mouse.
