On October 22, 2008, Microsoft announced that the game would not be released in India on the Xbox 360 platform. Religious and cultural sentiments were cited as the reason. I see, for a reason I was thinking Cows after you first sentence already. Since it was the first thing that turned up in my mind on what little I know of India, I have Indien friends but not for so long, yet.
Then reading on was like "no, this can´t be true" but it is.

BUt i guess someone can still gift the games to you. Then just open up an US GWFL Account. In don´t how restrictive India is, but it never failed me in Japan with EA GWFL etc. games. But for 10$ F3 GOTY it would be worth trying.
