omega64: Was it too hard for you or was it something else?

AdamR: It was definitely difficult, but that wasn't the problem. I just thought it was super boring. It was kinda fun for like 15 minutes, but then it just felt repetitive. Eventually every level started feeling exactly the same.
I'm not really sure what I was expecting, but I thought I was going to have a lot more fun for a game with such high ratings.
After I quit, I heard about one of the devs' App Store "experiment" and immediately regretted giving him my money.
I guess it just wasn't your kind of game. :P
It helps that every world is quite different from the last.

Yeah, I definitely don't think it was a bad game, I just didn't enjoy it.
I think very few truly bad games exist.
Simon Says.

Just don't really feel like talking about it yet. Let's just say therapy and medication resulted from the aftermath.
RL. The graphics are fantastic, but the plot is mostly boring, tedious and repetetive (some interesting parts though). Plus it costs huge monthy fees to continue playing and participation isn't even opt-in but only opt-out. And once you opt-out, there is no coming back to it. They completely close your access once you stop playing for more than a few minutes.

micktiegs_8: Back when I was an avid supporter of Ubisoft.... Watch_Dogs. The ridiculous amount of hype surrounding that game sucked me in, and even when it was announced to be delayed a few weeks before November last year, I still gave it a go in May When I told myself repeatedly not to bother with it beforehand.

Should have listened to myself... What a waste of $100!!!
:O

Too long without GTA and we get desperate.

I confess, I haven't played any GTA games. :l
99 Levels To Hell
It looked interesting to me, so I bought it here when it released. I played it, but I didn't find it very fun :/

Rise Of The Triad (2013)
It is probably a good game, but it runs terribly, even on low settings.

I don't know that I really regret purchasing any games I've purchased, since I usually do a good amount of research before buying and know that I'll at least mildly enjoy the game but I regret renting Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW quite a bit. It may have single-handedly ruined simple dungeon crawlers for me permanently.

I had the same issue with my AMD processor, recently switched to Intel and it performed perfectly.
A shame.

That's another one for me, and for the exact same reason. It looks like fun, but there is a big problem - I can actually count the frames per second.

I don't know how I will resist. I just love that first minute.

Aye. And a game where the creators of the world actively block your progress is a terrible game indeed.

Any particular reason why? My favorite genre is open world/sandbox games, especially GTA-esque games (like GTA/Saints Row series/Sleeping Dogs/The Getaway series/etc) and the only complaint I've really heard about Watch Dogs is that the graphics aren't as good as they were advertised to be. Granted I won't be picking it up anyway because of the Uplay requirement (it's a requirement even on Steam).

I'll echo other posters in saying Rise Of The Triad (2013). It's not particularly bad in any one way and it works fine on a mechanical level but it's easily the most uninteresting FPS I've ever played.

AnimalMother117: This is true. Risen on 360 is not bad, but it has so many issues that it really has trouble functioning as a game and I for one hold that it is much, much better on PC, so much so that it nearly does feel like a totally different game.
avatar
R8V9F5A2: I definitely agree that the PC version of the Risen games are miles better.
However I thought the console version of the first Risen game was OK, I got used to the controls eventually.

Risen 2 was an entirely different animal. I played this on console as well and it was virtually unplayable to me, even the first Risen game had better controls in comparison. Any type of combat in Risen 2 on console was extremely frustrating, even if you used guns - which in theory should make things easier ! Nooope, not in Risen 2.
Risen 2 on console made me miss the controls in the first game, that's how bad it was.

No, these games should be played on PC, anything else feels like waste of money.
Especially when trying to navigate any of the menus and the game won't pause (which is how it is on PC, but at least they can be navigated quickly and you can intuitively figure which button opens a menu; as opposed to the 60 version which I could not even tell you which button opened the inventory menu.). I agree, though, the game is not bad and combat functions well enough and just working around town or the swamp is just fine, other areas suffer from poor interface and bad frame rate too much, though.
Tek-War...yes, to this day I regret purchasing it :/
