Can anyone confirm if the gog version of Drod: The Second Sky has this patch? I'm not seeing it listed on the game's version history or changelogs on gogdb.

I just installed the gog galaxy version of Drod: The Second Sky, and I can confirm that April 14, 2016 (v5.1.0.6512) is the latest gog version.

So it's missing an update then. Jeez.

Edit: Scratch that. I went ahead and bought the GOG version to test. The patches from the official site work on the GOG version, effectively making my report of a missing patch moot.

Lukin86: No, it's second class. Because in the end the game is not up to date. Even if it adds in the end a drm. The 2 games must be identical in game version for them not to be considered second class.
If anything, it's actually a first class - you, as a customer, are sheltered from an "update" that's making a product (you paid for) inferior and limiting your customer rights to use it, while at the same time adding nothig of value to it.
However, if this is an intended action from GoG side or just a (fortunate, but random) side affect of their overall torpor and apathy is a whole different story... But, well, it's the results that counts in the end. :]

Can you test and see if this beta patch from the official forum of the game works with the GOG version? You'll have to right click and use "copy link address" to download it on Windows.

Not moot at all. Forcing customers to search for patches elsewhere rather than offering it as part of the installer is the epitome of being treated as second class.
Blood Bowl Chaos Edition from Cyanide.
The version released on GoG is broken as in unplayable in comparison to the steam version.

Don't remember having any noticeable issues (or any at all) - granted my benchmark was my old CD of the Legendary Edition.
What exactly is broken, or makes it unplayable?

According to the reviews, the GOG version suffers from a bug that makes all turns last only 40 seconds (regardless of settings), making it nigh impossible to move all 11 members of your team in such a short span.

Huh, going to reinstall and confirm that one, because I thought I'd have noticed this one.
I see the reviews also mention no developer contact on it (or the game mentioned as "not supported" on their website), that's alarming.

EDIT: Hmm, indeed it is.

Really shitty to find this out after it's been well over the 30 day refund policy since I purchased the game. I guess GOG is just into scamming now.
I have been aware of the following issue for some time, but I hadn't noticed any entries in the spreadsheet mentioning price discrepancies, so declined to post about it in this thread, thinking price differences were perhaps just outside the scope of this project. Browsing it again today, though, I did see a couple such mentions, so here goes.

The following Talisman: Digital Edition DLC have been $1 cheaper on Steam (at least in the U.S. region) for a long time now:
The Ancient Beasts, The Cataclysm, The City, The Clockwork Kingdom, The Dungeon, The Highland, The Realm of Souls & The Woodland (all expansions): each $4.99 on Steam vs. $5.99 on GOG (20% more expensive here)
Complete Runestone Deck: $2.99 on Steam vs. $3.99 on GOG (1/3 more expensive here)
(Meanwhile, GOG's DLC Bundle is priced the same as Steam's content-identical Season Pass, even though they include the majority of the aforementioned price-discrepant DLC.)

Additionally, a standalone single-player game, Talisman: Origins, is also a dollar cheaper on Steam -- $5.99, vs. GOG's $6.99 (1/6 more expensive here). (However, its three DLC expansions are all consistently priced between the two stores.)

Though it is at least our fault for not playtesting a game during 30 days. At least better now then earlier as earlier you could only return if it is not working. Now you can return any game during the 30 days and have not even a 2 hour restriction unlike Steam.

I mean, I think a case can be defended there, that it is indeed "not working".

Agreed. If GOG is selling a broken game here THEY are responsible and should be willing to refund if customers are unsatisfied - no matter when they've purchased it.
