Mostly for preservation and "not dying", reasons...
Let's make a list, hopefully someone gets a wishlist...
1) C & C games. EA practically abandoned it to its fate, older titles either don't run in modern systems or are glitchy to the point of being unplayable. Gog can only save it by tweaking to run in modern systems. EA doesn't give half fart (not even one complete).
2) Diablo + Hellfire. Since this isn't available in B.net it SHOULD be bartered to appear here, on gog. Especially since Hellfire cannot be found ANYWHERE, unless second hand...
3) GTAs. 1 and 2 are no longer available either for download as classics, or to buy in Steam. And London expansions are no longer able to be found and bought.
4) Batman Arkham series. We could at least get the older ones, the gotys. This is considered to be both good old (it even gets a remaster, soon) and the best superhero game in modern gaming scenery.
5) Maybe more Elder Scrolls and Fallout titles?
6) Black and White 1 + 2. Now that Lionhead disbanded, it cries out to come here, in all due honesty!
7) Monkey Island 3 and 4. EEs are good and all, hell, they even contain the game in original mode, but Curse of monkey island is an iconic title, a cult classic too. Both gamers and collectors are sad to not find it anywhere for purchase, nowadays.
8) Titan Quest. Since Grim Dawn is already here, then why not? Latest rumor is that they are working on it to restore multiplayer even and word is, Runic is all chummy with us, here, now...
9) More classic oldies, especially BRADLEY games!!! Having more of those "primitive Deus Ex predecessors" wouldn't hurt, like that great badass Cybermage! Where are they, damn?
10) It must be my impression, but i think we miss quite a few classic Sierra games. We should in most probability get here quite a few more of them. How is it that talented devs who create masterpieces always disband and/or go bankrupt, while filthy slimey slugballs (like EA and Activision post fusion era) who don't care about either games or gamers, strike it rich effortlessly big time?
Please help expand the list and make it noisy! Preferably, games the likes of which, without gog's main dogma (of tweaking to run in modern systems), face threat of extinction!
