i have reached the conclusion that i want to wait off for a year or more if i see a game that is sent out parallel to a DLC , i am not talking about expansion packs that add more world but don't ask you to repeat content.

i would like to note a "bad" expansion pack in opinion - tyranny - it's expansion packs forced a player to play the game over again. otherwise it is an excellent game , just due to it's structure - should have been shipped out only once whole.

i want to respect the effort developers invest in games , but at the same time i want games to respect my time and investment i put in them. and sadly i find i get best value for that two or three years after a game comes out. i understand the financial reason game companies do that. but if i recall my time as a cook - the moment i saw a restaurant owner evaluating "what he is doing for the customer" and not "what the customer is experiencing" the restaurant is doomed. so i am asking for companies to relate to the user's experience

i hope this changes for the better , and i hope crazy minds keep making crazy games , and i want to be excited when a new game comes out

most of 'em unless you REALLY MUST HAVE IT RIGHT NAOW, you may as wait a year or so for them to cough up a complete edition, GOTY edition. etc. then wait a month or two for a decent sale... problem solved...

Oh other than the I JUST CAN'T WAIT, there's also the online games which might be dead w/in a year anyways... to play against buying now or waiting for some sort of complete bundle... Personally ANY game that comes out of the gate w/DLC is a no go for me until it has a complete bundle AND a steep sale as I'll only take so much money grubbing at one time and DLC at (or before) launch is just shady...
