I set all my games to "manual update" to have some control over the process.
Where can I see if there are new updates and for what games they are?
Do I get a notification on the dashboard or do I have to look at every game (in which case I would set all to "automatic")?

they will appear on here ( the gog website )
its the little number next to account when you hold your cursoer over that a drop down menu will appear
the first item will be library if there are new updates there will be a little number there

click on you library
in your library hold the cursor over my collection and another drop menu will drop down with 3 choises
click on updated

and there you go
