EA Cricket 96

One of the first cricket games I went out to buy when it came out. It's one of the easiest to play, and getting 500+ in an ODI is possible, and 1000+ in a test isn't uncommon, especially on easy (heck my best in a 10 over game is 230).

but seems it's one of those forgotten games that no one remember.

arrjayjee: Zelda II.

The game gets a lot of hate, mostly because it's difficult and figuring things out requires actually talking to villagers and not following glowing waypoints I suppose, but I think it's great. Not perfect, but damned good, and without it we wouldn't have Dark Link, the downward thrust or the names of the sages from Ocarina of Time, so show some damn respect you heathens.
Give La-Mulana a shot. I think it is what would have happened if the formula of Simon's Quest and Zelda II took off.

La-Mulana

bushidoukitsune: I liked Tales of Destiny II for the PSX. It's a pretty solid sequel if you can get past the weak English dubbing, but I never see anybody talk about it.
I think it's because it was initially released only in Japan, and later in China and Korea. No release in the west might mean, that not many people except few dedicated fans had ever chance to play the game :(

timppu: Oh I forgot:

Wing Commander Prophecy Gold (aka Wing Commander 5)

I've seen many user-reviews how this is supposed to be inferior to the earlier WC games, and somehow a disappointing ending to the series. Come on, this is clearly the best (at least in the main branch, not sure about Privateer 2 as I haven't played it yet) Wing Commander game out there!

And I am talking about the gameplay, not some silly full-motion video story that no one should care about anyway. The gameplay is quite good, I'd say I prefer its gameplay even to e.g. Tie Fighter and Freespace, it is at the same time both more relaxing and more action-packed, if that makes any sense. In Freespace I am constantly annoyed how useless the afterburner is, while in WC:P you can use it so nicely to keep yourself on an enemy's tail, and then let them have it right up in the arse! (figuratively speaking)

Remember to play also the stand-alone expansion pack (Secret Ops). It has even less full-motion video with C-class actors (which is a good thing), and it has better flight music than the original. It is a separate download/entry in your account, when you buy WC:P. I almost missed that when I recently played the game, I almost couldn't figure out where the heck that Secret Ops expansion is or how it is started from the main game (it isn't, it is a separate game using the same game engine).

Matewis: I enjoyed WC:Prophecy, but I do remember being somewhat disgusted at the cheap (supposed but probably) death of Blair.
Well I would bet, that initially it was no plan to kill off Blair, there were planned more WC and Privateer games, but EA as usually decided to destroy the franchise and canceled all development on these titles, despite Privateer III being close to Beta :-/

Yeah that was what I assumed. Didn't know about privateer III though. What a pity :P I've been meaning to play the 2nd one for some time, ever since I saw an advertisement for it included in my copy of WC IV
Universe at War.

Best friggin' RTS ever! Made by ex-westwood guys. 3 sides even more diverse and quirky than Starcraft. Music by Frank Klepacki. With a half-baked single player campaign, piss-poor skirmish AI, and tons of bugs it didn't survive for long.

Yeah Privateer III cancellation and with it the dissolution of Origin Studios, was very sad indeed. For me it meant, that Wing Commander Prophecy Gold was last EA game I have ever purchased, because Origin was my favourite developer of games :(
Jetpac, Puzzle Quest and Two Worlds, the originals, not the sequels and Aegis Wing are a few off the top of my head
Forgot to mention Loren: The Amazon Princess

snowkatt: i usually get bored in the swamp and the fucking donkey doesnt help much either
You're playing Shrek: The Game?
I honestly thought Fugitive Hunter: War on Terror was pretty fun. Jingoistic and dumb, but I've played worse.

Titanium: Well, by now it's about 50% truth and 50% a running gag anyway.

If anyone is wondering, the game is Mistmare. It was spectacularly broken at launch, got painstakingly patched to 1.7 for a fairly enjoyable experience, and then promptly devoured by the passage of time.
I played the $hit out of the Mistmare demo but when it came out I ended up not buying it due to how bad the full version reportedly was. I regret it to this day and have just arrived in this thread when I was checking if it is available on gog (I once tried downloading the abandonware version but couldn't get it to work). SO yeah, this is definitely on my list as well.

Also, everybody loved Unreal 1 but I personally liked U2 as well, so shoot me. I think the scavenger hunt theme sold it for me. Generally always like the whole franchise over the Quake counterparts.

Not sure if Metal Fatigue still counts since it got released on gog so some people must still love it just like me.

Rage of Mages 2: The Necromancer was one of the first computer RPGs that I've played and I loved it. I don't think I've met another person who even heard of it.

Fantasy General was my favorite of the SSI's General series. Though not sure if that one counts either since it even got a sequel recently, even if that sequel killed everything I liked about the game.

Diabolika - it's just a puzzle game but it's awesome, probably still available as abandonware.

Evolva was a very interesting and innovative game that did not get nearly enough recognition.

Fallout Tacticts, it got so much hate from fans of the first 2 games but I always loved it for the sheer fun of tactical gameplay and the fact that it was finally a Fallout game I was actually able to finish (many years later I was able to obtain the water chip and complete the first game but to this day I've never managed to find that goddamn GECK).

Not hated but definitely a niche game - Echelon, my favorite flight sim. In terms of difficulty it was the equivalent of Dark Souls but also required a joystick to be actually playable, hence the niche thing.

Gunmetal - a game that made you feel like a proper transformer, no idea why it got poor reception.

I kinda liked the Avatar game.

Finally from newer games - Mass Effect: Andromeda, yes it was of lower quality than previous entries in the series but to me it was still about as good as Witcher 3 (note, I played both after they have already been patched up but I don't hold W3 in as high regard as most, I liked W1&2 more).

NuffCatnip: Forgot to mention Loren: The Amazon Princess
Heh, I played it. The most annoying thing for me was that I couldn't get my character to express dissatisfaction with being an amazon slave - the dialogue options on this issue boiled down to "how do you want to express your loyalty?".
DarkStar One - a slightly more linear version of Freelancer, i just enjoy the visuals, and slowly uncovering the universe as you go through the plot. It has its drawbacks - every statio ncomms is exactly the same blonde lady , saying exactly the same thing, but in some ways thats part of its charm.

Life of the game is massively extended using the Hidden Clusters mod - thats in German, but there is a partial English translation knocking about. This is an excellent addition , still being worked on and updated today.. find it on moddb
It's a weird fandom certainly, but every time I hear anybody talk about the Star Wars The Force Unleashed, they describe it as a blight on the franchise, while I think it's a solid lightsaber action game. The DLC where you kill movie characters was an odd choice and I do not play them but the proper campaign was alright.
Worms 3D.

Almost forgotten about and I never see anybody talk or even mention it when it comes to the topic of Worms games. It's my 2nd favorite Worms game after Armageddon.

Sadly, not many people will ever get to play it anymore as it's not available on any stores. Makes me even more grateful I bought the box of the game back then.
