Is there a way where our games only get the "updated" tag if it actually updates what we use, like home system? It's not a big thing, but I just came from my library and found six of my 200+ games were "updated." After checking each games changelog, all had "Galaxy" implementations added, 5 were Mac updates (I am on PC), and one had an actual extra downloadable (Hard West had a new poster "goodie.").

I realize you want everyone using Galaxy, which would take care of this, but I dislike going through any launcher, just to play video games, Steam included and most especially Origin. I have re-bought many of the games I got through Steam here on GoG for the specific reason that I do not need a launcher.

Again, this is no biggie, no "rage quitting" feature, just an annoyance. Thanks :)
I doubt it, half the time it doesn't show updates when there have been updates. Other times there isn't a change log. Othertimes there are updates for the things you mentioned. you can use gogrepo to keep things up to date if you like. Me I just check once in a while and go through the updates.
Actually folks here keep track ourselves of what gets updated. No need to go searching the subforums for the changelogs:

Digest: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_what_did_just_update_weekly_digest

Individual updates: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_what_did_just_update_thread/

Oh and just a fyi, like almost all support forums, there's little to no staff involvement here. If you want to reach out to them, please try the Contact Us link at the bottom of every page:

Hope this helps

My understanding from recent experience is that Galaxy gets the updates for games before the offline installers do. Please keep this in mind if you do not care for Galaxy, as you can inadvertently download the same offline installer that -surprise!- you already had, even though it looked like there was an update ready. My advice would be to wait a day or two to be sure, or just don't update. Anymore I pretty much end up assuming the updates are useless to me; e.g., overlays, cloud support, changing the name of a file (these are my favorite, it'll be like "file" has been changed to "the_file"). The update culture around PC gaming is out of hand anyway. I will always choose a buggy game over a client, online connection, all that crap :)

Thanks for those inks, but I actually get to the changelogs from my library's game info drop down. I don't "search" for anything :)

The contat us is a good link that I will pursue :)
