Adding Hegemony games to your list:

- Hegemony Rome: Rise of Caesar
- Hegemony Gold: Wars of Ancient Greece
I just got an email response that let me know that TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4 was rejected by GOG.

It's a matter of shear numbers, look at Steam's front page in the morming and by evening it's completely different, every day they release games. Fridays is the worst, as they compete to be on front page for the "entire" Weekend.

It's about money also, Steam may make more money by selling 95% rubbish and 5% good, GOG tries to sell only the good stuff and still make money. The money it's about, is also. what each game makes the devs, as well as GOG.

The Games on GOG usually get at least a full week on the top of the list, doing that means some titles must miss out. Those will be indie games as that's the majority of releases.

I've never heard or seen any of the indie games mentioned here as "Good", but guarantee no-one thinks every single one is a good game. That's also an issue.

There are simply to many games and too many opinions of which is best, to reach any sort of agreement.
I for one am glad all the Steam rubbish doesn't get on GOG. If one I like, doesn't show up on GOG, I can easily get it somewhere else.

Plus when a game is already DRM free, I don't need GOG to sell me a DRM free version
I'd rather get a game sold elsewhere with DRM, on GOG DRM free than a game with no DRM anywhere.

Removing DRM, should be the most important factor in making such decisions.
Finally, once a games been rejected it will most likely stay like that.
There are too many new releases to add any rejects on to the queue.
It would just delay the next batch of new GOG games, until GOG would just be Good Old Games, again!

I add my voice in favour of Hegemony I, II& III, from Longbow Digital Arts.

LDA has apparently tried to have the third game on GOG, but GOG apparently rejected them. Sad, because these games are a genre by itself and, whereas they may not appeal to all, they're damn fine games for those interested in strategy games or in the Ancient world

Chacranajxy: Honestly, I think the solution is pretty simple, given what's already in place.
Another possibility ( an idea I already posted a while ago) would be, for games that GOG considers as "doubtful", to propose a "reservation" system, meaning asking the audience whter we'd be interested in seeing this game released here, but only do it if and when a certain number of users commit to buy it. If the threshold isn't reached, then the orders would be cancelled. If it is reached, the game gets released on the orders become effective.

To attract customers, the devs could be given the possibility to offer bonusses to the early buyers.

So for instance if GOG doubts about the potential sales of say Hegemony III, propose it provided 5000 copies are "suscribed to" within a certain time. Have the devs proposing one of their older games as a bonus...

Again, a call to vote for They Bleed Pixels on GOG!

Also, I think Love+, Dex and even Hatred deserve their shot (among others). The latter which has fixed many of its bugs and performance issues and added new game modes.

Also, was their any word ever on GOG releasing Deep Dungeons of Doom?
I'd feel more sympathetic toward GOG's claims of trying to limit the number of games released so they can all get front-page space if they didn't both waste front-page space on announcing preorders and also let entire days go by without any front page announcements (before today there were no announcements for three days straight). The reality is that GOG has an overabundance of front-page space if it can afford to spend it so frivolously.

If they personally aren't as amped about a particular game, then it's completely justifiable to only give it front-page space on a Saturday or Sunday in lieu of simply not releasing it at all.

What about Axiom Verge?

Also still no They Bleed Pixels. Sad Panda.
Alpha Polaris got rejected by GOG. Disappointed. :/

Barry_Woodward: djdarko contacted the devs of the cyber-punk indie adventure game Void & Meddler about coming to GOG and received the following response:
It's an episodic adventure game with only one episode released so far (out of three) and no track record of delivery. When you made your post, nothing had been released yet. They should try again close to the release of Ep 3.
Originally I posted something else but I wasn't sure sharing that was the best, so instead I'll say, despite understanding and accepting the rejection of the Blupi (Eggbert) games, I'd like to see them here. ;)

At the same time, though, the head dude behind the rights to Blupi is looking into making the games freeware, though, so that's even less reason to see them here. :P

Another related thread, regarding Fall of the Dungeon Guardians: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogs_frustrating_acceptance_policies
I'm really still waiting for GOG to reconsider Mushihimesama, probably the best Bullet Hell currently avaialable for PC. We already have a great lack of good shmups here, but they don't seem to care about the genre.

They declined it because it "...appears to be relatively unknown outside of Japan."
Looking over this list makes me both frustrated and upset. There are a lot of classic and/or excellent games in that list. I mean Deja Vu, Shadowgate, Dragon's Lair, Wings Of Vi, Rex Rocket, Mercenary Kings, Thomas Was Alone and even freaking Braid, the game that's more or less singlehandedly responsible for this indie game revolution we're enjoying these days, they all got rejected? And I'm sure many of these other games are worthwhile as well. There's something very wrong with GOG these days. I'm starting to feel I've bet on the wrong horse. The DRM-free movement is all good and well, but it's not worth much if you block people from participating in it. I went all in on GOG, my collection currently sports 816 games, but I think I've chosen unwisely... Unless something changes my collection may not grow much further than this...
The Charnel House Trilogy was declined. It's pretty good.
We already have Richard and Alice from the same developers.
