I love noodles, unquestionably my favourite type of food. So it's usually some fancier instant noodles.
To drink, usually just coffee during the weekdays. On weekends it's one of: whiskey, rum, gin, vodka, or wine. Not to get drunk, just for sipping while I relax with some strategy game or cRPG.

LordCephy: I'm at the very severe end of lactose intolerance. Cow milk works like an extra strength laxative. I dislike the taste of nut milk and oat milk.
MeowCanuck: Heavy cream also contains very little lactose. Lactaid or other OTC lactase supplements are a lifesaver if you ever want to go back to milk. I've never tried it in tea - probably because cream tea is one of my favorite snack meals when playing games for long periods. It's just tea served with scones, clotted cream and jam. Although I prefer lemon curd over jam. Now I seriously wish I had a jar of clotted cream as the stuff can be hard to come by here, and summers are way too hot to even attempt to mail order it.

Maybe chewing on disappointment or dismay, probably perplexation, and sometimes disbelief. All of which are naturally flavored by the undesired turning point or the defeat of the moment. Fuel for the imagination, plotting my way onward through the more nutritional courses, and to dessert if there be any at the end.
Food just has to wait till I am done sopping up the life blood of the game, or at least until I run out of time before the grocery store closes. Then there better be a way to save progress, else I ain't having any more servings of that game.

Sandwiches FTW! Simplicity is a constantly growing trend! I especially recommend sandwiches with smoked cheese, tomatoes and lettuce. Or with smoked ham, arugula, tomatoes and Tatar sauce. Delicious!

LordCephy: Cream can be yum in coffee, and I do mean heavy cream from the carton - not the whipped sugary stuff. The previously mentioned candy addict likes to make coffee using the instant flavored sugary coffee with a heaping tablespoon of instant horchata mix (more sugar) and whipped cream (also sugar).

I'm a purist, so it's all black coffee or tea for me. Sweeten it too much or adding with other fillers masks those subtler hints of roasted beans or tea leaves. Though some of my colleagues must have double sugar and double milk/cream with all their coffees and tea.
All those snacks sound lovely. I am quite envious. If I'm in a snacking mood, all I have to me are just raw veggies, almonds, or protein shakes.

Keto & Fasting of course. You don't need food. You need nutrition, vitamines and electrolytes.

The above website modified the recipe by swapping the raisins out with cranberries. The recipe originally calls for Sultanas.
I modify the recipe by swapping the shorting out with Kerrygold butter, then leave out the dried fruit. The other thing I do differently is that I don't kneed with a fork and do everything 100% by hand - either wearing food prep gloves or freshly washed clean hands. These scones come out best with the absolute least amount of manipulation that can be managed. They'll rise up more and be flakier.

You know gamers don't take breaks. You have to stack up on g-fuel and take it in any way like people do with substances. Next you got to scarf down 15 gallons of coffee as well as. Lastly, you don't need food, only fluids!!! ;)

I've been eating amphetamine pie and gaming since the late 80s. I should probably go to bed somewhere in the next decade.

MeowCanuck: I enjoy cooking, so it depends on the day, time, and groceries.
Over the weekend, I made laksa. Vermicelli topped with bean sprouts, fried tofu puffs, shrimp, softboiled eggs, surimi balls, and Thai basil. The base was made by caramelizing shrimp heads and shells. Then I made the sauce from scratch by blending together Thai chilis, dried chilis, shallots, garlic, galangal, tumeric, lemongrass, and fried in oil. Topped off with plenty of coconut milk. It's a shame I didn't have any cashew nuts or laksa leaves!
Last night, I made HK Swiss sauce marinated chicken thighs to pair with white rice, tomatoes, cucumbers, and seaweed salad. I also made a lovely stock from the leftover bones and spices: caramellized bones, bloomed cinnamon stick and star anise. Add to that, bay leaves, shallots, ginger, garlic, green onions, and a bit of Shaoxing wine.
I'm thinking of making calamari tomorrow to help finish up some leftover bean sprouts for kongnamool and leftover lettuce. And then perhaps revisiting oven-roasted Tandoori chicken the next night.
Applause for that. Aside from sounding good learning to cook is a fantastic skill to have. Particularly the part about "finishing up" with leftovers. A recipe is one thing. Saying I have these 6 things....and now I'm going to turn them into food, is the next level.Over the weekend, I made laksa.
