To answer the other question, you have to have a rep of 7 to upload and attach photos I believe.

edit: I was wondering if somehow you had gotten ahold of the beta, Galaxy took a look at it and saw it being the beta and disallowed it since you hadn;t signed up for it. Nevermind.
No worries, I appreciate the help and everyone trying to assist. Still waiting on gog support now, about 32 hours since my ticket. Bah. Impatient to play!

Today is a public holiday / day off and response might be slow :(
Try 'buying' a free game (like one of demos) directly through the Galaxy client. That might trigger ownership refresh.

OP, if you are planning to play it with gf together irl - no need to download galaxy. Stardew valley feature LAN coop without third party (steam/galaxy) clients

How? the multiplayer feature is only available via the beta version, which can only be downloaded via steam/galaxy.

oh, my bad then. I forgot that gog doesnt offer beta versions via site :(
I've only meant that one of multiplayer modes is via LAN, which (as is) doesnt require any third party clients to be installed
