rjbuffchix: BK I know from other topics there is a tendency of you defending Galaxy...but this is upping the ante to recommend against offline installers when the user indicated not wanting Galaxy. Though this topic is more proof that the offline installers are not easy or intuitive to find compared to the "optional" Galaxy. Imo, it's reminiscent of programs like Flash trying to sneak Goolag Chrome, Norton, et al into the download hoping the user won't unclick the checkbox.
But if you just want to play your games there is no good reason to re-download your games a second time waisting time and bandwidth for something that can be taken care of quickly and easily. It's the exact same game regardless of how you download it. He (or she) can uninstall Galaxy and there would be zero difference, and the games would be playable without it.
Users here have a tendency to tell new users to re-download offline installers and that is not always the best solution. If you want to have a backup or never use Galaxy then by all means recommend offline installers but OP indicated they just wanted to play his (or her) games. What I said is the best way to do that.
Not everyone has unlimited internet...
