It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

I just tried using GOG Galaxy for the first time. Seems to work fairly well, but one thing that bothers me is that when I try to use the backup feature, it does not recognize the existing installers I have, and tries to download the whole thing again.

I've already changed the settings to make it point to the folder where I keep my installers. The temporary ".DOWNLOAD" file even appears on the same folder as the files I already have, as shown in the attached picture. Am I just doing something wrong here, or is this feature not yet implemented? Thanks.

beta

what part of bet a do you people not understand ?
galaxy is not finished yet
there are still rough edges

al you can do is post in this thread https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_galaxy_beta_2
and post your findings to the beta program cited in the first message
This is kind of important, as features go.

There should be these buttons:

(-) check-and-get-if-not-there game install files,
(-) check-and-get-if-not-there all extras,
(-) delete/ clean-out outdated files.

Oh, and automatic inclusion of archive contents into Galaxy would be nice.

Until these are done, I see little point to actually using Galaxy: my bandwidth is, well, as expected of a third-world country... I am so not going to redownload e.g. Witcher 1 and 2 just to make the program happy.

At present the Downloader actually works... what's the point of Galaxy, then? Some kind of social platform?
